Why not get a new bike? Hell im upgrading (dirtbikes) from a CRF230F to a CRF250R. But still the rush of riding bikes is awesome, yourself and the bike nothing else matters really.

If you're upgrading to a CRF250, you'd better be prepared to be doing top end rebuilds very often. I'd suggest getting Stainless valves - the OEM valves are shite for punters who aren't rebuilding their bikes every 20 hours

Im aware that MX bikes need alot of tender loving care off the beaten track, its just im over the slow, heavy 230F and i want to start jumping and possibly joining in a few comps if i get good enough

The CRF in particular is really bad stock. Do some research on them before you commit.

Ever since ive started riding with Honda, they are great. lots of Medium-High end power, Terrible low end tho. its either the 250R or the YZ250F and ive spoken to a few people and they also say the 250R is more bang for your buck over the YZ..
