Thank you.. Yes I love it. I looked at a LOT when I was searching for a new daily and it is the most beautiful by far and the cheapest . It's the first car I have ever bought that had all the little things done that I usually do to make it a bit special. The only cosmetic thing I have done is painted the calipers bright YELLOW. and put YELLOW hella sharp tone horns behind the grill. Our other Subarus have those so why not the GT..lol.

Thanks mate.. It took me a while to decide which colour to choose. I looked at other cars that were similar in colour to my Liberty, cars like Lamborghini etc and a lot of dark grey cars had yellow callipers and other parts of the car were highlighted in yellow as well. I'm a big fan of yellow but it can be tricky to get good depth but fortunately the calliper paint is quite thick and dark.. The stickers were just some spare ones I had from Ebay.. I'm retired so it's easy to find time to play with our cars so they all have painted calipers.. I did my Blue GC8s callipers in Blue with Yellow SUBARU stickers to match the CLUB SPEC stickers that are also yellow.

I do the calipers on the car, which is a bit slack but I do mask and prepare them well before painting and they have lasted for 10 years on the GC8.

Thanks Oliver.. I didn't know much about Liberties when I bought it and I still don't but one thing I have learnt which may have changed my choice is the fact that the 3.6 liter non turbo models are very quick cars. Having said that the turbo models go ok but slow when compared to our Rexs.. I think I probably still bought the Lib I have because the previous owner did an awesome job or modding it with almost $6000 worth of cool extras and with the xforce TBE I fitted it sounds good now as well. I use it as a daily and LOVE the auto. I take my rex out from under it's cover every 6 weeks or so and go for a spirited mountain drive just for the thrill of it. If I could get my Lib to go like that without spending big bucks. Unfortunately the go fast parts for the lib engines are much rarer in the 2nd hand parts market because there are a LOT less options.

Have you done any updates lately?
Where did you get your mags? I am currently checking the wide variety of wheels on 4wheelonline, and I want a similar one on my car.

Hi .. There is not a lot I can do to it without spending lots. I have resigned myself to the fact that I would need to spend $4-5k min to get it going as quick as our other cars. My son just spent over $3.5k on a new LINK ecu and a tune for his Ver 6 Sti. It's got a built 2.5ltr that now makes 204kwatw on 15LB. the lib would need turbo, down pipe , inj, CAI etc etc to get to that but it weighs more so still wouldn't be as nimble. It handles very well with TEIN suspension and new front bushes and it stops well with the rotors and pads that the previous owner fitted all round. I did get a stock subaru AWD badge for the boot to balance the Liberty badge on the RHS but that's about it LOL. I took one of our dogs to the vet. He's a big boy and put 2 of his claws through the front passenger seat so I had to repair that. It's barely noticeable and I don't plan on selling it anytime soon. I don't do many ks in the Subarus. My wife on the other hand does a LOT in her WRX. She'll do 150klm today. I am on the lookout for something to replace her rex. We both love Audis but not a fan of spending big bucks on little things and her rex is quick and she like that so it will be another REX .. I have access to dealer auctions so I'm keeping an eye on them . I see a lot of Audis go through there for peanuts but the dealers just wave them through, same as the BMWs, Mercs etc. I got a nice A2 S ( VW GTi engine) for one of my neighbours, it was a lovely car but it has spent most of it's time off the road because every little thing that goes wrong cost hundreds of dollars and they've got a couple of young children and Arab horses so their already burning money like there is no tomorrow. I did my best to talk them out of it but they had their heart set on an Audi. My wife said she saw a really beautiful pale sky blue Porsche yesterday LOL, my guess is a GT3. I'm glad I choose the cars.. I have friends helping me look for 2nd hand VF52, downpipe etc for the Lib. Maybe one day it will happen.
