Hey guys,

This was todays job. I was meant to do it last week on the day i did Trieu's wagon but i couldnt fit him in.

Was in average condition paint wise. Im not sure what colour it is,one of you will tell me im surel. I know it wasnt obsidian. It had the same flake but the paint seemed green. Came out fantastic anyway.

Was a stage 2. The LSP was Supernatural speed stick, applied by Rotex with a black festool waffle.

Dan

Looks awesome Dan.

Pretty sure Jim's car is Obsedian Black though, thought that was the only black subaru offered? Correct me if I'm wrong fellas.

Maybe it was a bit greener on some panels because of the body shop not replicating the colour accurately. I know most body shops do a decent job, but it'd be quite hard to match the colour 100%. I was told my paint (diamond grey) is one of the harder colours to match, I assume black wouldn't be much easier.

Looks great Dan! Hey supernatural is part of the Dodo range?

And colour is OBP. Some of the 06 WRX's and foz's had a different black with gold flake in it. Not sure what it was called. But the libs came with this black in 07 (not sure about earlier years).

Thanks to Dan I'm now facing a lawsuit. After he had finished his excellent work, a fly tried to land on the car but the surface so was smooth and buttery it slipped and broke its leg. Now the fly is demanding compensation .... haha. :D

Seriously though, Dan is a fantastic professional. His work is great and he's a really nice guy to boot. The car was shiny from a distance, but up close you can really see the swirls and spider webs. Nothing beats a professional detailer to restore the luster. Highly recommend to anyone looking to restore their shine or repair their paint.

And as everyone has stated, the colour is a black and is called Obsidian Black Pearl by Subaru. The paint has gold flakes in it but has a green tint to it. My black MY05 GT had the same characteristics.

Thanks guys.

Now you mention it the greenishness was most noticeable on the front guards, which were the painted ones.

OBP IT IS!! lol

Yeah Chriskan it is part of the dodo range. Its their top of the line wax retailing at ~$250 a tub

Thanks for the kind words Jim!! I enjoyed the day very much

Impeccable work as always dan. 8)

Short of bringing you up to Brisbane, is there any detailers in queensland that you can recommend?

Thanks heaps mate. You wouldnt be the first lib owner to do so!

Hey mate, a stage 2 on a liberty is $280, may be slightly more of there is a fair bit of travel/tolls. For example Wollongong or Newcastle incurs a $50 fee.
