Wash, Wax, Pics

Postby gradg » Mon Aug 10, 2015 11:01 pm

G'day guys and gals. Long time no activity.

A mate's constant photo stream of his vehicle got me very thirsty to properly wash and wax my car.... So online I went to buy the gear I needed.

Normally I would use a wash and then some form of liquid wax. Not good enough this time around.

Clay bar kit, some wax and about half a day later...... results.
Please just ignore my windscreen and try to appreciate ANYTHING else. haha. It's a job/discussion for another day.

It was a great learning experience and to say I'm happy with the results would be an understatement. The feel of the paint is absolutely incredible. The only thing I didn't do and should have was done a cut in between the clay barring and the wax. The clay bar didn't damage the paint at all, but I can see swirls I'm not hapy with but are only noticeable close up. Just me getting picky. So next time it'll get a light cut to get rid of those before the wax goes on.

From another thread on here. Pretty ordinary picture, and from 2yrs ago. So must be time to re-do.

This is after ~14hrs and my first time using the DAS6 Pro.
