I contemplated buying a Volvo 850R before the Liberty GT... they're cheap, but I just couldn't get over the FWD and the super-aged square interior...

The 850 T-5R is an awesome machine I reckon. The whole design of the car is boxy (the designers must have played with too much lego IMO). Im still hunting around for one ATM, but they seem to be very hard to find in original cond no accident history.

Im also lead to believe (and will happily stand corrected if incorrect) that the 850 T-5R was the quickest production FWD vehicle ever made worldwide.

If I manage to find one, I will happily put a "Bloody Volvo Driver" sticker on the back window. And naturally wear a golf cap which I will attach to my head in a heavy duty manner to ensure it doesnt fall or fly off when when I hit the loud pedal.

i dont mind the look of volvos and imo camry drivers are worse than volvo drivers

problems i have found tho is that they are FWD and designed for women... dont have anyhting against women but they just dont have the passion for cars like men do

Hmmmmmm, not sure about the rest of Oz, but here in Brissey, there are quite a few very non-stock Rex's driven by females.
Also, mags like Street Machine feature a number vehicles not only owned, but modded by females.

Didn't they win some rallies in the late 60's? There's quite a bit of info on google about volvo's motorsport development etc.
