I saw that in the paper on Thursday morning. If you got in quick enough you could have gone to anaconda and they would have beaten it by 10% as they have guaranteed lowest prices. A go pro black for $360 ain't bad!

My new gopro

$290.00 all up at auto barn :)
( they kind of owed me a favor as I had a recent fall out with them, they double charged me and farked me around when I made a complaint...so I reckon this is a bargain redeem price, could be wrong )

Hero 3 HD white edition with:

1/ 16GB class 10
2/ Suction cup

Will post pics / vidz soon :)

Still haven't heard anything about this, they usually keep in line with apple..
Some are speculating 4k @30fps. No one realizes that they're gonna have to buy new laptops to play it back, plus no computer screen is capable of 4k resolution, apples retina is nearly there with 2.8k.

They wholesale at $380, i wonder what their tactics are? They're certainly not making much $$ off them!

I love the idea of a GoPro but I just can't seem to get any use out of mine
I had the GoPro Hero HD and I think I have used it less than 10 times over 2+ years. I also have purchased like $200 in accessories for it.
Taking it to Thailand next week to get a lot of use out of it though. But seriously these things are such a waste of money if you don't actually use them. Keep that in mind if you are thinking of purchasing one.

Sure every once in a while I'll take the car out and throw the Gopro on and go driving for 30 mins, but then trying to edit it all is such a hassle I just usually dont bother, then I never upload the videos.
Go Pro's are great in theory, but unless you are willing to; use it often enough. Edit footage including things like blurring number plates, and then upload that footage. They generally are just a pain in the ass.

Thought process of an impulse GoPro buyer... "shit yeah just got a gopro! *takes some test videos* *sits on desk for next 12 months*.
I guarantee you're not the only one Keiran.
I reckon most people will upgrade to the latest gopro for no reason too!

There's currently at least 2 4k screens on the market. The bigger problem will be graphics power. Especially with a laptop. Latest generation desktop graphics will smash it :)

arguing about resolutions for a sports camera is pointless when the mainstream hasn't accepted the new resolution at all yet. I still remember watching 4k videos from the official google 4k channel on youtube like, a year ago....

Okay here is a small demo of my gopro....excuse the noob vid..

Go Pro Placed:
Rear Bumper Middle

Device:
Hero 3 HD White Edition

Driver:
Gino aka Brother G aka 3rspecb in all scenes

1 Clip with 3 Scenes:
1 - in my car
2 and 3 in the bearing noise charged 3.0

Recorded:
720p @ 60FPS using iphone gopro wireless app to control

What Ive been looking at on the gopro forums and concerned is the crackling, static and low sound quality from the gopro....

I've invested in a external mic output and boom mic...will see if it makes a difference...

Nice vids. I have the older GoPro HD Hero, but maybe this is relevant... I found when mounting it on my motorbike I would get clicky noises and a fair amount of wind noise. After sticking cotton buds inside the housing with the camera I found the clicky noises all but eliminated and overall sound quality much better - try it out it might help?

Sorry for the double post both here and jaydece's profile thread - but thought this suggestion might help other GoPro users too!
