My mate went to the recent Philadelphia Car Show and took a few pics which included this 22B that Subaru have been showing around the USA car shows.
Seems funny that Subaru America would be pushing their new cars by displaying it.

Man that car looks soooooo HOT and PHAT!!!!!!

Those extra boxy guards are definately a statement of their own. Although Im not a huge WRX fan, the 22B will always be highly respected in my books.

I'm with you on this..even though it is a 22B (which are rare).

One for the connoisseurs... you don't see two-doors everyday, nor the mighty 22B.. there's one on carsales for $99k.. grab a bargain!

Obviously now that the impreztel Sti comes with 2.5L, 221kw, 6 speed, brembos etc as standard it doesnt seem as special but back in 'the day' when it was released and mind you this was when the WRX hype was in full swing and WRX waiting lists were super long, it was special. Super limited, 2 door, rally guards and stroked 2.2L engine. It was a dream car for many of us that had only recently deveoped a love for japanese turbo cars after years of tinkering with hondas and aussie muscle.

I think there are 5 in Australia. Sub Aust own 1, the other 4 are private own.

I also think there was only 400 made world wide. The late and great Colin McRae got number 1 and the Welsh wizard Nicky Grist got number 2. This means there is only really 398 in the world.

Awesome bit of gear and would love to own one.

I was able to see one every day at work, however I dont work there anymore.

The 22B is as mentioned a very rare car and huge legend car to Subaru lovers. Do a google if you dont know the history because as a Suby owner I reckon you should. No it doesnt have the fruit of todays STI's but in its day a beast. I would just like to sit in one let alone own it!
