I am currently in Tokyo and it was very kindly suggested that I might like to take a visit to the largest Subaru dealer in Japan which not only has a wide range of cars for sale, but also a STI/Rally Car gallery including actual cars that have won Le Mans and RWC.

Heaps of nice Liberty/Legacy’s on site. Brick red leather options, aero strakes, mesh grilles, heated wipers, Bilstein editions, square tail pipes on Gen Vs and even a Tommy Kiara version of a B4. Many photos to follow.

VIEWING WINDOW SO YOU CAN WATCH YOUR CAR BEING SERVICED
Obviously, they take pride here, so not only can you watch your car being serviced, but you can also go inside the workshop and discuss your car with the mechanic whilst it is on the hoist.

I got myself several hardcover photo intensive books, a Legacy badge and a JDM coin holder. :D

The array of JDM options is massive. Went through the Gen 4 accessories book and suffice to say, most options/accessories are also considerably cheaper...STI Lips are around $350 - $400 (presumably installed  ) and you could buy the folded mirror option for about $160. Try that at Docklands!

The staff were all super nice. The STI/Gallery part wasn't open, but they allowed us in unsupervised after it was explained I came from Australia (and a Liberty Club), they also spent a considerable amount of time with me pawing through the accessories book trying to find the parts I wanted. You could also test drive the cars provided you have an international licence and Japanese skills/friends/family.

It was a great afternoon. Thanks for reading.

Where in Tokyo? I'll be over there in a few weeks and wouldn't mind popping in.

EPIC!!

look at all the optional parts you can buy from the dealer..... And the service centre where you can actually talk to the person working on your car!

Puts the dealers here to absolute shame.

Amazing. Probably puts several dealers to shame lol.

And so much for "Modifying your car with aftermarket parts could shorten the lifespan bla bla bla.... Void warranty bla bla bla..."

This one is in Mitaka. It was built after the Tachikawa one and as I understand it, is now the biggest in Japan. The Tachikawa one is also worth a visit though, as they have many customised cars there.

Thanks mate. I ordinarily hate rectangular exhausts, but thought it looked good on the Gen V also.

Love to accomodate, but sadly can't.

Yes I did. When I find it, I'll post it up. I'll also scan the options books and Legacy brochures I grabbed when time permits.
