We were sent out three cars at a time, doing one warm-up, three timed laps, and a cool-down.

I was sent out with two twin-cam MGA's. I lapped them both in three laps

I bet there's a huge grin somewhere in there... that pic where the tyre is flexing, it sure looks like the whole car's chassis body is flexing too

Worst that could happen is I might slide off onto the grass. Been there, done that many times.
My biggest fear is tapping someone else's car. That could get very awkward. Was plenty of elbow room that day.

Actually, the MGA is built on a steel chassis. The only timber is in the floors, which means it can be replaced easily and won't rust.
The MGB's were the first monocoque, so they flex a lot more.

Damn I miss Baskerville...used to live 5 minutes from the track and could hear the events from my front door.

Wanted to do laps in our 2001 Lib RX sedan but as it was the family car, I made do with my turbo'd Bluebird TRX. Can't drift though!
