Why is everyone being so negative?

This is a car forum and that is an enthusiast who has personalised his car to his taste. That's what peronsalisation is.

It's like personalisation, but more dangerous.

Unless only driven in a straight line under 60km/h, owner = asking for it.

it's a little unfair to the bloke ...

I've read the thread and even the OP on Legacygt says he wouldn't be running that kind size on the car ... all he said was he took it off the missus' wagon and fitted them on to see what it looked like ..

it does look a little ridiculous and horses for courses....

the wheel doesn't look too bad just the wrong size for the car ...

Does that mean the missus was running that rim/tyre combo?

He must want to get rid of his missus.

Amazingly no one in the original post has anything bad to say, at least on the first page I didn't keep going.

In my opinion, which counts for nothing, the rims are fine but need tyres that fit and need to be on a car that can handle such wide rims

He seems to be running a pretty decent size FMIC too.

I'm a huge fan of the hellaflush fitment scene and what not, but even that is a bit too extreme for me.. 18x9.75 +20.. I thought I had it tough with 18x9.5 +40.. I like the rims though.

And I agree with what Coyote said, it's personalized to what he likes, that's what modding is all about right?

And I sort of disagree with saying he put up his car to be judged.. I'm sure he posted the images online to share with others what the rims would look like, not be judged or criticized. There's no doubt there will be some people who will have plenty of negatives to say about the car, but there will also people who can and will appreciate the car/mods for what they are without feeling the need to judge or criticize the owner.
