I dunno if this is the right place to ask, but it is a question about Gen4 White paint. Is the Gen4 Outback White paint the same as the Liberty's?
Because as a soon-to-be Gen4 Liberty owner, I thought I liked the white in pictures. But today I saw a parked White Gen4 Outback, and the paint was very off-white (almost egg-coloured/cream) . I must admit, I didn't like it as much. And it wasn't dirty either.
I test drove a Diamond Grey GT Sedan today, and loved how it drove! But eventually I'd like a Wagon, and Diamond Greys are harder to find. So the other colour I like is White...... or so I thought. I remember the White is being a really nice metallic (almost pearl), but I guess I just need to find one for sale. There are none for sale where I live in Townsville, North QLD (just some White Gen5s, which may be different paint again).

Yeah mate it's actually a white pearl as opposed to a metallic/solid white. The pearl does tend to give it that off-white tinge.
Adrian2627 wrote:No worries Tom. although not a stark white it does look nice all polished up.
Here's a shot of mine out in the wilds of Hakone, Japan.

Prefacelift gen4 and post facelift gen4 white pearl is also different. The postface is a tad creamier looking. Check the paint codes...I found this out when I bought a postface white pearl bumper to try match my preface pearl white.
