Just bought a B-Spec

Postby surrender » Fri Jul 22, 2011 5:10 pm

Just picked up my new car, the connoisseurs are nice wheels but I don't know how fond I am of them, may be looking for a new set, maybe the LM reps or something. I want a bit of dish. It's a bit high for my liking at the moment, had to wind the coilovers up for the blue slip but they will be wound back down soon. Also gonna remove the eyelids. List of mods so far are as follows:

19 inch Advan Connesiur 151c +38 offset so the guards have been widened and rolled:
Brembo setup front and back with the horseshoe modification to the rear so normal WRX Sti Disc will fit
K2 Gear copy front bumper and lip
Carbon fibre grill
Carbon fibre rear spoiler
BC BR series coilovers
Front Project Mu Discs
Cusco strut brace
Cusco front sway bar and A arms
Perrin short shifter
HIDs
Rear diffuser
Custom cat back with HKS ES Premium Cannons

Anyways here we go:

Thanks buddy, the wheels have a fair bit of curb rash on them from the previous driver (I'm much more careful with nice wheels  ) and I think he was quoted 800 bucks or something to fix it! I could have a set of reps for that money. But they may be up for sale soon, do you think I could still sell them easily?

Yeah it's the 3.0rb, actually sounds and goes a lot better than I thought, just gotta save for the twin turbo kit or maybe a supercharger. 8)

Not sure what reps yet, was thinking maybe some of the varrstoen TE37 replicas, bit less concave than the Rota grids. But I like the Linea Corse LM reps too. Not that I am a fan of wheel rip offs, it will all come down to how much money I have to spend. Some real LM's would be awesome, we will have to see. What's a fair price to ask for the Advans do you think? I also had my eyes on some custom 3pc Rotiform wheels but we will have to see about that, at about 1200 a wheel it's a hard choice to make!

Thanks mate, Black wheels would look good, not sure how long the car will be black though, looking at a full respray in the future. The paint is looking a bit sad and whoever matched the skirts and front bar could have done a better job. I kinda like the brembo's in the gold, but might even colour match them when the car get's a spray.

They have a bit of curb rash and shit on them though. Roughly how much is fair to ask you reckon? I know they are nice wheels and actually pretty expensive, I just can't say they are my favourite shape. Somebody swap me some 19x8.5" LM's or maybe some 18x9.5's with plenty of dish!
