I have brembos currently and the wheels turn so I believe so :P I forgot to check my inbox I should do that now. Not sure about swaps yet unless it's the wheels I want, but might part with them for a decent offer. Thanks for the compliments on the car too everyone!

Not unless he's changing brakes as well. Spec B wheels wont clear Brembo's.

Looking good mate, the 151c's are quite a sought after rim, pity they're rashed.

You'll be hard pressed to find rims that give you big dish while still clearing brembos on a liberty, the guards just aren't big enough. Unless you're willing to flare/pull/widen + a crap load of camber, but even then finding rims will still be a hard task. That said I've been on the look out for the sort of rims you're after (I'm after the same thing), and the varrstoen's look pretty good, as to BBS LM's, but expect to pay a monstrous amount of money for them.

With replica's you can get Linea Corse LM's in 18x9.5 +30. They have plenty of dish but I don't think they clear brembos (I've read that they only JUST clear Rotora calipers which are smaller than brembos).

I've managed to find a set I'm quite happy about (although I'm sure they're not to everyones tastes), but it's just a matter of getting them over here from the US without paying an arm and a leg for shipping.

Let me know how your rim search goes.

Cheers for all that info man, I hadn't actually taken that into consideration, I guess if you have to space them out a bit then it just makes them harder to fit under the guards. Were you looking at the Varrstoen te37 reps? They are a nice wheel for sure, I think they look nicer than the grids too. I know the 151's are nice wheels, just a shame the previous driver roughed them up a bit. Still prefer something with a bit of lip. Do you know if the 18x9.5" +35mm XXR 502's clear brembos? I never manage to factor everything in when I'm looking for wheels, I keep forgetting about brake clearance.

Oh and digital I don't believe this is Patricks old car, neither of the last two owners were called Patrick, and if it's the one I think you mean, it's a gt and has a hood scoop and a few other differences.

Your car is Patrick's car, I'm 100% positive.

The problem with finding wheels with dish is, dish means the face of the rims are sunken in, which reduces the amount of room you have for your brakes.. I've only got a 2.5i so I'm going to avoid this issue with selling my brembos lol.

I had considered the Varrstoen TE37 Replicas but they just weren't the look i was after. I wanted concave + dish + fatness if possible and think I've found the right rims for my needs, plus I wouldn't mind having light-ish rims. I'll do a little searching for you to see what's out there.

Thanks for that, much appreciated. Have you seen the Rotiform 3pc TMB's? They are my ideal wheel but not sure if I can justify spending that much money. They just look amazing. LM's would be awesome too but they are also pretty expensive. I think I need to do some searching.

It's definitely Patrick's old car. I did the photos for him a while ago.
Here's the proof:

Note to anyone who wants to buy this set of Connoisseur 151C. The offset is a bit wide and you WILL have to do body modifications for them to fit unless you're happy to leave your car at 4WD ride height.

Awesome photos man! The previous owner must have been a terrible driver, lots of little scrapes and things compared to those photos. I will return her to her former glory though so not to fear. Tangcla do you know if the front bar fitment was a little bit off when you shot those photos? It doesn't line up like I would like it to now, I think the previous owner scraped it pretty hard up a few driveways and I am fearing having to buy a new bumper, but one of the mounting points was knocked clean off :angry2: and I definitely want it all perfect before I dish out money for a respray. Also I know the fenders have had a roll and pull so yeah if you did want these wheels then like Tangcla said you will need to do a bit of work, or rock monster truck status. I wonder if enough work has been done to get some 18x9.5" +35 ssr's under my car as it is.. Decisions...

I think the fitment was alright when I photographed it. However being a fibreglass kit, anything could happen

Also if you are getting bodywork done, you should get the panelbeater to see if he can smooth out the guard flaring. Last I remember, the rear wheel arch lip was REALLY rippled...

Yeah they aren't too bad but there is definitely a few things that could be straightened out. I will have it sorted before paint definitely. Still on the hunt for some wheels that will fit brembos and have some dish with the minimal room we have to work with. Although these guards have been rolled and pulled it's still hard to find something that suits.
