Teflon's MY05 GT

Have owned this car and been a member for more than 2 years... but for a lot of that time I really missed my GC8 version 6 STi... However, really starting to love the GT now after some simple mods because when I first bought it it did need a bit of work to bring it up to scratch. Front bumper was scratched and needed a respray, the wheels had major gutter rash problems and the passenger rear door had damaged trim. However, finally gotten around to fixing those things as well as adding the bilsteins and for the first time I don't miss the STi anymore! Also have an Eclipse AVN4400 and now contemplating whether to put the McIntosh back in and the Eclipse in the sunglasses cubby but sounds like that would be a bit of a project to make happen. Would like to get the STi front lip +/- rear spoiler but our driveway would probably ruin the front lip pretty quickly. A tune would be great too to make it more driveable... the bug has hit!
Only other change has been a new clutch - glad to be rid of the DMF!
Anyway, enough words and here are some pre and post photos. The post photos were taken by my wife who is a mad keen photography and obsessed with trying to capture sunflare (5D Mkii, 24-70L). Happy for any technical comments (eg tangcla and other regular photographers if you see this)! Very happy with the car now. Removed the headlight surrounds too.

Looks great mate. I loved my white prefacelift GT, for my money, the white Liberty is the only colour the Dame Edna eyelids kind of work on.

Thanks Garbo... yeah, wasn't convinced about the headlight surrounds and finally got around to removing them after reading up and asking some tips on how to do so. My classic WRX STi was white too.

Exchange rate is great now... I paid much more than they cost now when I bought it for the missus and we don't have a single day of buyer's remorse. If you're keen on photography, you'll love it!

Hey just wanted to say your car looks great. love the Spec.B rims, they are a good buy!
You should get some lowering springs, the custom PHAT Tein S-techs are a nice drop in height....nothing too crazy and the ride is good, better than the stock springs in most comfort aspects other than potholes

Hi Kieran, thanks and yep, really loving the liberty now! I thought about this mod, but the ride height has settled down enough after about 500kms to not bother me too much... Ever since I changed the wheels and added the billies, the mod bug has hit me hard! I'm already eyeing of the dump pipe by Phat but have been warned that if I get too acquainted with him my wallet might shrink quickly. I will probably attempt my ICE mod first before I think about any performance mods (but if the pre face lift dump pipes are a once off by Phat my hand might be forced!)
