Hey Guys,

I had a chance this evening to head out and take some quick shots of my +1's new Polo GTI, whilst it is still relatively clean from the recent detail, plus the sunset was just gorgeous, Enjoy! :D

Thanks Guys, yes its a brilliant little car to drive, extremely responsive with the twin charger, can invoke lift off oversteer with ease, so fun factor is very much up there. However not as involving with the DSG box, having said that. Its the perfect city run about with a very refined interior for everyday driving.

I have been following the launch of this car closely.

Got a quick question...

The electronic diff that it has....how is it? Does it behave like a LSD?

Hey Mike,
Its not like a true LSD per-se, obviously because it uses the aid of torque sensors and the like to electronically adjust power to inside or outside wheel, it just prevents loss of traction the way i see it. It does not have that mechanical lock and then slingshot feeling you get in say a FWD Type R integra with its LSD, as you power out of a corner, But the twincharge engine and its immediate torque to the wheels makes toast of most cars when punting it hard in a tight set of mountain roads. I kid you not, 8 times out of 10 when i choose between the keys to the Subaru or the Polo GTI, i opt for the GTI ! I have a soft spot for FWD hot hatches. Ala my previous ride a track focused Renault Clio Sport 172 with all the go fast track goodies ;)

Those Clio's are insane. Got to love a French hot hatch. They make some mental cars!

I took a new Polo GTi out for a drive the other day, the new ones are a bit better than the previous model I was looking to buy. Great fun those little beauties.

Thanks for the review. Sounds like you have quite a weapon there. I remember reading Motor Magazine and they had a modified one at the track. Did very quick lap times.

You need a polarising filter for your lense! ;)

Nice little car! Actually met up with a friend for lunch and he had borrowed one for the drive... Am told it's heaps of fun, although I'm not a huge fan of the 'tartan' interior!?
