MY10 Liberty (5000Km) trip around the coast, SA wine growing and outback
Well here are some pictures of my Liberty on my recent 5000 km trip. I travelled from Canberra down to Eden and then followed the cost road stopping at Lakes Entrance and to Phillip Island.

Then crossing Port Phillip on the car ferry to the Great Ocean Road.

Image
Then on to Mt Gambier and then to Kapunda to visit the Barossa and Clare Valleys for some wine tasting and buying.

Then onto Broken Hill, White Cliffs

Then on the way home, passing through endless swarms of locusts and visit every car wash in the towns I drove through.

I had to take the Liberty to get the km's up for tax purposes, and the 5000 km put me good for this tax year. The car performed fantastically, averaged 8.2 L/100 km, and never missed a beat at all. It was especially fun driving the Great Ocean Road with the S# button pushed, most people seemed to jump in to the pull over bays to get out of my way. The car even did fantastically in the deep mud in White Cliffs, due to heaps of rain, and I now have most of it cleaned off.

Well after taking the Liberty on a 5,000 km trip last year it was time for another trip of 7,800 km trip. I decided to update this thread so they all can be seen together, sorry for the flood of pics.
This trip I went from home, up to the Snowy Mountains, down to coastal NSW along the cost of Victoria (the Great Ocean Road) to southern South Australia. Then up to Port Augusta, Coober Pedy, Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Alice Springs. Being a car site most photos have my car in then, and other places such as Lake Eyre and the Painted desert are without the car as I hopped in a proper 4wd to make these trips. Return trip was same route and ended with a whale watching trip at Eden, southern NSW.

I was in Broken Hill a few years ago and really wanted to go to Silverton due to it's Road Warrior connection. Due to a late arrival and fear of kangaroos at dusk, I didn't get to do so. Great thread. Thanks for posting. :good:
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

I ran out to Silverton in 2009. Pic of me by the Interceptor viewtopic.php?p=100725#p100725
Back then, it was just parked outside. I see they've now fenced it off and added a few more props. :)
