I tried to do a realistic lowering, and straight black doesn't really suit as you need the brakes to offset the colour of the car, just not so much as bright bloody red

A nice set of gold brembo's would look lovely behind those wheels.

Cheers Guys,

I'll admit I'm absolutely stoked with these Rims, although it took about a year of hunting, Im glad I waited as they actually look better than I thought they would.

As far as dropping it goes, Yeah I totally agree it needs to be done, but being used as a work car at the moment, and the ass already bottoms out at times (might have something to do with the 5" canons hanging off the back) so I may just have to give it alot of consideration...... maybe just an inch

I do think black/charcoal calipers would look great, but honestly Im totally happy with the way it looks at the moment, so I think I will just enjoy it for awhile....

Lets not forget I went from this:

To this:

A major step in the right direction IMO :P

RSGTs always tend to look smaller due to the fact the spokes dont go all the way to the edge of the tyre...

Also agree to the charcoal colour for callipers, I was thinking of doing mine red, but since seeing this I think I might go for a black/charcoal/gun metal colour. How did you find painting them etc? I really can be fucked to put the car on blocks while I paint calipers... I wish I could find someone I can pay... :l

Actually, I just paid Ozzy Tyres $120 to paint them, a hell of a lot easier then DIY ..... IMO

I totally couldn't get the calliper colour that I was imagining though. Bit rusty on photoshop from my old photochoppin days with cars.

Mate that looks absolutely wicked, nice job. The more I look at this, the more likely I am to get it lowered......

I also have a couple of other small mods in mind, these may come about in the next few weeks.

Cheers.

Garthos.

Yeah, well actually I wasnt very happy about the price. I orginally had the 18s w/tyres + caliper painting lined up for $2000 (double checked in person the week before and emailed the store several times) but at the last minute they told me they only had the 19s but could do a great deal including wheels, tyres, lock nuts, balancing, painting calipers and also painting over the fat red pin stripe, that is a lot thicker on the 19s compared to the 18s all for $2500.

They had me over a barrel as the car was already up on the hoist and I honestly could not be arsed waiting any longer or trying to find them anywhere else, so i coughed it up.

Bah! It was well worth the money! If you had gotten 18's, it would have been 'nice' and 'that's pretty good' comments. But with 19's, you should now get 'awesome' and 'looks fantastic' comments. Can't buy 'wow' factor like that. :D
