It's on the way. The footage is being ingested as we speak at DVD quality.

The quality of the recordings could have been effected by the quantity of dust and dirt that the camera was subjected to...

Yes, the lipstick cam is by Oregon Scientific. The camera that I brought along was the AT-18 model. If I was going to buy one, I would get the next model up (ATC3K) which can handle a bigger SD card and can also be used as a webcam. This means that you could mount the camera and run a USB cable to a laptop in the car should you desire.

i am also working on a better mounting clamp too. Looking at a machine billet clamp with the same thread size at one end to screw the rod into the tow hook, stay tuned.
cheers

Well I'm blaming the camera anywayDuring ingest the capture will drop out intermittantly - sometimes after 30 seconds, sometimes 2 minutes, sometimes not at all. I'm not sure if it's flakey timecode on the tape due to the camera being a different model or what.. but it meant I had to keep reingesting small clips and putting them together in a sequence... it's annoying trying to fill in the blanks only to get another dropout requiring another fillin... etc !
It was okay when I tested a native tape with my camera, so the flakiness lies somewhere in the integrity or design of the data on the track tapes - which is the tape or camera or combination thereof .
Lipstick cam was easy, copy the AVI file

Edit. The weight is incorrect on that web page. According to the manufacturer, it weighs 50g. http://www.aee.com/en/productshow.asp?sendid=42
Edit2: And some example video here. Looks a bit jerky. http://www.terracode.com/AEE_MiniDV/AEE_Mini_DV_P1.html
