latest photos- new springs new plates AND nearly kit

Postby 541NTT » Fri Apr 03, 2009 10:19 am

hi guys,

thought id post up some pics of the lib now with its new springs and plates- i was looking at moving to coilovers (and still will in the coming months) but with the pool of cash i had for upgrades i figured i would get the car looking how i want before going through and over hauling the suspension and adding performance mods.

in the end i chose custom kmacs- lowered 55mm in the rear and 60mm up front, im running 19" wheels on 225/35 profile tyres- i had to trim up the rear bumpstops and she rides good in the back now, but the front only has a small amount of travel on the shock so shes a bit rough over big dips- im expecting far greater handling when moving to coilovers of course.

i havent rolled the guards at all- i get no scrubbing in the rear at all and only minimal up front when on full lock going around sharp corners.

if you cant tell the plates read SAINT - as you may know i was going to powder coat my rims a gunmetal but due to money going else where and not being able to have the car off the road for the week that would be needed i have put this on hold (also just quietly chrome is growing on me).

next addition will be a full INGS kit from the phat man, its already made and awaiting shipping up to me- should receive this next week sometime then i will be shopping around to get it fitted and painted.

pics were taken on the sunshine coast and caloundra.

Yeah, the chrome doesn't look out of place on yours. Just quietly though, I prefer the look of the bottom facelifted car.

yeah i do love a bit of black on black!

would you beleive just as i get home this morning there is a package at my front door!- the phat man sure is efficient!

whipped it open and quickly ran out to "trial fit" the kit- looks the goods, im hoping the skirts sit a little bit higher once they are actually fitted- the kit is so clean as it is i could almost fit it as is without paint!- but of course i will have it painted.

you may note the use of a couple of trusty Mckenna cans on the front ;) and the pics are just off a mobile phone so might be a bit rough.

I reckon the chrome rims goes well on your car, Bodykit should bring the car up another notch

hey guys, thanks for the good comments- aftertalking with michael last night about whats required for fitting i think i wil pre fit the front bar today- if i have time the side skirts to- as the rear pods need to be sicaflaxed on i doubt il be able to fit them until they are going on for good.

rain has set in for a bit up here so il see how far i can get with the prefit- also have stolen the gfs camera so il try and get some better shots of the car all round.

needless to sayi am super excited to have the kit- i fell in love with it the first day i sore it and to now have it in my mitts is a great feeling.

well the kit was pretty easy to fit, all fairly straight forward- ended up getting the front and sides on.. it sits REALLY low with the skirts on it now- looking forward to getting coilovers just to raise it a bit..

anyway these pics are off the gfs camera, still not awesome but better than the phone ones.

Nah, I was referring to how its guards sat over the tyres. But that's just my preference
