Sorry if im breaking all the rules here by putting non subaru in here, but thought you would all like to see it..

Finally get the last screw around from subaru, we had a deposit on the sti that i posted up here a while ago, but cause of my lease, i didnt end up getting finance for it. So the other half went in to look into another car with a pre approved amount, (a tad lower than the 60 they were asking for the sti)
basically she was told by the dealer that he was too busy and didnt have time to speak to her.. F**k that i say, so we went and looked into a new car.. a non subaru new car.

traded the lib in for 15 and a few days later drove away in this

so far very happy with the lil thing, will primarily end up being charlies car, as im getting a 4WD later on in the year.

hope you can all see it in your hearts to not dis own us now that we are not part of the susu family, and still invite us to your gatherings :), were still subaru at heart, we just drive a ford :)

Well, being a long time Ex-blue oval badge driver/supporter, I forgive you ! :D

So, 2.5 litres of turbo 5 cylinder Volvo power with 6 cogs to play with !

I read somewhere that there is a factory endorsed tune called Powerchip that can be loaded onto a device they Bluefin that flashes the ECU ?

Seriously, hope you enjoy it.

Kurt, my sister just bought the same car and I can tell you that it is an awesome thing to drive! I take it out for a drive every now and then, the car feels so light and revs hard! Awesome purchase!

It's all good, Kurt. Anyone in your position would have given the finger to Subaru and gotten something else out of spite. Great choice! Those things are a blast to drive in comparison to the 2.5i. Good luck with it! :D

They are fun to put on lifts cause they are light as, Also very easy to remove the wheels which im happy about :P. Good choice imo dont need an XR8 or GT, XR5T looks good enough but why the stock White and blue stripes? should of gone Silver and magenta stripes :P.

have fun with your Ford.

Heheheheh... I was looking at these photos days ago on Facebook! :P

They are a very nice car & I do love the white & blue look you've gone for :) After all the rubbish you went through with the lemon, I personally wouldn't blame you for going to a different car manufacturer.

I had the chance to drive (Rather quickly at that) a pre-face lifted XR5 over new years. It had a tune by some joint in Melb (I'll found out who if you like) & catback & it goes really well :D It actually feels very solid on the road & in terms of how it pulls etc, I thought it was very similar to the Liberty :D

Oh, interesting bit of info... The standard muffler on these - Being the large canister kind for the Euro 4 laws, weights something like 100kgs! So doing a catback not only gives you a performance gain, but it's also good weight reduction :D

Nice ride buddy, sorry to hear about your woeful Subaru experience :? So did you look into other alternative vehicles? Just curious to know why you chose the XR5T, though I'm sure it is a great little pocket rocket from what other users are saying! Havn't had the pleasure of driving one myself.

thanks for the support lads, and mano, your a sphincter lol... see how quick my "rice" is up against the GT's hey.. ha ha..

and yeah what the plan was, that we wanted to look into something that was more... chick friendly.. as stupid as it sounds, plan is to leave this one with charlie, and get myself a 4WD later on down the track..

so far im very impressed with it, and we had narrowed it down to this, the MPS and the GTI.. to me.. this shits over all of them..

only thing is.. doesnt come with cruise control!! wtf.. makes up for it in other areas ... good little pocket rocket...

am planning to go into homebush this evening to take a few photos, and yes i am taking the camera. if any of you are floating around, feel free to come on out... prolly be around the 2030 ish time frame.

it has got steering wheel controls for the stez, you can sort of see it on the two interior photos.. the massive ass tab on the left hand side.. however the stez is voice controlled too.!! thats kinda wierd..

HID's were a bit of a dissapointment.. but its on the to do list.
