Accident in Moorabin

I just checked with people in legacygt club USA.

They said that the city light/parkers was become one with the turning signal light.

Now the question is, can I put this head light? Since it's different type of parkers light and if i'm not wrong, the parkers light with turning bulb light is in different socket? Can I still use this headlights?

Can someone confirm it for me?

I think what the guys on Legacy GT are saying, is that for them the parker light is the same bulb as the indicator bulb, whereas in Australia there is a separate bulb for each. Using the indicator as a parker is common on some Euro cars such as Volvos or I've seen them on some 4WDs as well (I think they were Jeeps).

You're going to have a hard time adapting that headlight to use in your car in that case, as I can't think of a simple way you can wire it up so that it keeps the indicator on all the time as a parking light, but flashes it when you indicate. The US model must have a different indicator/parking light circuit in the car to facilitate this.

Are you sure they didn't send you the LHD/USDM headlight.... ?

Is there any area in the head light where a hole can be drilled and the standard T10 wedge globe socket installed? Show us a photo of the front and backside of your headlights.

Okay, start with the headlight.

I need answer ASAP. Tomorrow morning I will go to subaru workshop to check on my brakes and also changing my white stupid foglight.

I can't put that headlights since got different place for parkers light.

So I guess I need to buy the original Subaru Headlight.

Just a quick info, I found someone cheaper for almost 300-400 bucks.

I got brand new pair for 1100AUD. Not bad. Because I can't find a used headlights.

So yes, just order that brand new headlights. And ready by this afternoon.

Hey Naldo it's a bit hard to see because the photos are dark, but I'll have to look at the back of my headlight as well to do a comparison. It looks like the front casing has the same ribbed section that the parker lights would illuminate, so as long as it is hollow on the inside and you have a relatively flat section on the casing on the back of the headlight, I dont see any reason why the old parker light holder cannot be retrofitted.

I'll have to compare the harness for my indicator as well because I'm pretty sure it's only 2 poles, not 3.

They said it's different, because parkers and turning light are in different location.

But yes, I already order a brand new headlights from some subaru parts in moorabbin. It's a lot cheaper, 580 bucks each, where subaru sell for 750 each without GST.

So yeah, a bit happy even though I'm a bit broke now and my parents mad at me.

US light will be sent back or maybe sell through ebay.

If Naldo asked the right questions and was mislead in his answers by the seller then yep, definitely due to get a refund. If no questions were asked outside of this thread then you could ask for a return/refund but couldn't expect to get your cash back. Most sellers would be reasonable in returns policy but most will also likely not refund postage costs so at best there will be a small loss involved.

Just sent it back to US.

Already took my brand new headlight. Got different socket with the US headlight. Crazy.

Then my repair for body panel can costs me another 1000-2000AUD.
