Heya bud, nice pics of your ride!

Yeah I want to head out soon to take some serious shots.

I gotta a few things I wanna try out, any tips for car photography? I normally shoot everything else but cars.

I had a few lens but ended up selling a few, now only left with my 10-22mm and my 24-70Lf2.8, 30D body, 580ex and the 580exII so I wanna try some different lighting points.. Benro Carbon tripod (this kicks, I love it).

For long exposure I normally start with 8/8, so 8 secs exposure and f8, then work my way from there... your thoughts?

hey Trieu, your equipment is almost the same as mine!

Depends on the effect you want -if you want just ambient lighting (i.e. cityscape background) try a longer exposure, or smaller aperture to get the sparkle effect. But the big f-stops might cause unwanted "sharpness" in the lights... so it's really hard to have a 'set' formula. All I can suggest is, try and try!

I've got a Cokin Star-4 filter that I'm going to try to use soon :)

mate they are some top shots.. and just goes to show the few things i knew about photography, are really quite pathetic...

ive still got the simple point and shoot theory, rosso, i know your with me on this one, ( fuji s5600 ) and i know it can do some cool shit, and ive learnt a few things off the guys at work about taking photos of fireworks, and other night shots like that, but this is a whole new ball game, this light painting caper.. if it stops raining long enough tonight, i might have to go out and have play.. maybe make some scary school camp photos, with the torch under my face.. just to scare you all .. BOO

ha ha.. and franky. love your idea with the torch mate, simple yet effective..

either way, heres some of what ive done.. not of cars, but still.. im a learner:) and aplogies for the off topicness :)

R8ED, the Fuji isn't too bad a camera, takes a good shot, if Fuji would update the lenses they'd be even better.

No lib photo's to show off (see disclaimer) but I have a Nikon D70s and a Canon 20D with a few lenses

I don't get to take much stuff for myself as it feels too much like work. Oh the joys of being in advertising. Ho hum.
