Introduction

Hey all, just thought I would post a list of current + future planned modifications for my Libs.

Basically I am 20 years old and have owned three cars, all Subarus (a 2006 Subaru Impreza Sedan, 1992 Subaru Liberty, 2008 Subaru Liberty (Current ride)). After some unfortunate things happened to my Impreza...:

...I bought a cheap 1992 Subaru Liberty to get me from A - B. After having this car for a while I decided I wanted to buy a newer Liberty as I loved to look of them. Unfortunately though, I could not afford a GT as insurance quotes were through the roof for me.

When looking for my car and doing some research, I decided it had to meet several criteria. It had to be black, manual with leather, a sunroof and without a tow bar or rear spoiler (boot lip was A OKAY!). I also decided I liked the look of the post facelift model the most (the tail lights and front end are much smoother/sexier to my eyes :D). I was planning on saving for the car, and casually browsed car sales/classifieds at work. One day, a car popped up on the classifieds at work. It was perfect and met all my criteria, except for having a sunroof. I decided that not having a sunroof wasn't that big a deal, I had one in my Impreza and rarely used it anyway. The car had fairly low KMs (32,000) and was very cheap compared to those listed on car sales. After test driving it I fell in love, and took out a small loan so I could get the car right away. Following are pictures of the car stock:

Modifications

Future Modifications

    - Paint Callipers (Black or Red)
    - Subaru Rubber Boot Mat
    - Exhaust (Increase Note (but not too much :P ))

Finally! We've got some pics of the wheels!

Looks good mate. Well done. :good:

Just need a lip on the front and she'll look complete.

BTW - is it just me or do the wheels (front) sit slightly proud of the guard? Looks like it from your shots, but I can't really tell. [shrugs] :?:

Hey thanks,

Nah the wheels sit within the guard, although you are right, the pictures do make it look that way...

Ahh, finally a profile! :D

Looks great Alex! :ok: Those new wheels really set the car apart. I expect quite a few people to follow suit once word gets out, especially now since the Connoisseurs are no longer available in 19's for the Liberty (not to mention these are cheaper). :P At a glance those wheels look almost exactly like the Connoisseurs, albeit a darker version.

Looking forward to your future mods. I always like watching people mod their cars from the start because it's like I'm on the same journey they are. :clapping:

Thanks Jim!

Yeh I am thinking that a lot of people will buy, however, these are pretty hard to get. Not many people stock, and those that do are out of stock. Everyone I found in australia last week (prior to deciding on just getting the black) reckons they would expect a shipment in about 8 weeks, which probs means its a fair bit longer than that lol...

Only bad thing about these wheels is I had to raise the front coils a little bit to stop the scraping when going down gutters etc (even with guards rolled). Although I don't think its sitting too high at the moment, looks okk...

Front numper scraping or wheels hitting the guards scraping? Wait until you get a front lip! Fun! :P

First of all Alex well done, the car and wheels look great.

For the scraping is it the rolled lip gaurd or the plastic lining that's being scrapped ?
If it's the plastic bit just see what's scraping and cut that portion out if you want your car extra low that's what a few people do.
Be careful cause there is wires under there and they look like for the side airbags......( I think )

Yeh at first it was the lip, thats why the guys that rolled it put it up a bit. It only really scrapes now if i do a full lock (ie left or right) or something, and im fairly sure its the plastic that it scrapes against. A bit of the plastic has been cut away already. Not to worry though, I might try lower it a bit more eventually... :)

Oh and BTW, for all those out there wondering, I'm fairly sure these wheels would fit over Brembos, as the spokes are quite pronounced...
