I have bought this from japan and installed it in my liberty gt about 2 months ago. I found it quite easy due to there being everthing in the kit from aerial adaptors to screws

Heres a pic of me in the middle of the new install

Hi Timbo

Thanks,,,,If your talking about a trim around the dech itself than no because its a moderised face that has tilt and has to open for nav, dvd & cd's. Not used that offen as i've pluged my ipod into the dech

link to the dech im using ( this in the only ECLIPSE in this style available in Australia)

Waiting on my bezel to be made, then I'll post pix of my set up.

Phat GT has seen the design, just waiting on a few more parts.

This is my bezel design that will replace the mcintosh stereo and inplace will be a 7in touch screen.

The back part of the aluminium will house the PC - yes that's right, a motherboard..Once I get this off the ground I will post more pictures.

hi GTO it sound like a lot but you get a lot of parts with the kit like new AC controls two typs of arial plugs screws mounting brackets and so on witch makes the job so much easier ,so $340 is not much to pay when it has to hold a head unit worth 10x the price

Phat GT, ah ha I see your point about the $340

now I see you've spent another $3500 on the actual unit. Like I said you are definately making too many $$$$. lol

I do like the idea of having it all integrated.

I have the factory SatNav but would like to have MP3 Blue tooth etc via the 1 unit. I decided to go the cheapo route. I just bought a bluetooth parrot which obviously will be seperate to the other units (hopefully auto mute and using exisitng speakers)
Looks like your option is going to be very shmick "all in one".

Can't wait to see the finished product.

Having made up a panel for my HU, I'd gladly pay $340 for a factory one that snap fits!!!

Here's mine:
