My rear end starting to look like Tangcla's

Well, it's taken me til now, but finally got some nice reversing sensors fitted to the rear my Lib today ! :D

After having had my rear bumper pierced by a jagged boulder in a parking lot earlier in the year, I have been eyeing off photos of Clarence's ( Tangcla ) GT with the rear parking sensors.

I'm very happy with the colour matched sensor heads and overall fit and finish of the Smart Park PDC 115 which was fitted this morning, looks very OEM. The proximity warning buzzer even has a switch for Hi & Low volume and an off setting for those who might be towing something.

Looks good Lok.

Agree with the color matching comment - always a tuff one with silver.

What did the system end up costing you if you don't mind me asking (PM if you prefer).

Thanks Steve.

I ordered mine a while ago when they had a discount promo going so I only paid $360 all up including the colour matching of the sensor heads and all done at my home by a mobile fitter ( I know the mobile fitter, so no issues with workmanship ). I think they currently advertise them at $329 fitted ( colour matching is extra ).

The sensors are well encased to survive the weather extremes and even the control module is housed in a metal box, Australian designed product with 3yrs warranty and lifetime labour warranty when supplied/fitted through http://www.thecarkitcompany.com.au

I've been reversing my car everywhere I go this arvo

Cheers,
Lok

Thanks Lok - I'll check it out later.

I'm sure Tangles will have something to say about my parking and using this... LOL. Cheeky bugger.

Hey digital,
Just spoke to Sutton's Subaru in Sydney. They reckon there is no factory options or accessories to fit a reversing camera to a liberty. whats the story there?

It's not going to help you. Your parking is crooked anyway! You need sideways proximity sensors, or angle your side mirrors downwards so you can actually see the line. ;)

Lok, those rear sensors look better than the ones I have. Yours sits more flush.

yeah they would be right in that they dont have a 'factory option'. i'm guessing their third party company installs the reverse camera which comes with a little LCD screen?

so i dont think u can get a camera factory fitted. it actually is an option i think. i'm trying to source the connector from subaru for my sat nav with the RCA outs , then i will just buy a camera and install myself.

The way some people drive here, the front and rear sensors would be going off all the time in traffic
