Hey Guys,

I haven't posted in the intro forum yet, I will one day. But in the meantime I have a MY07 GT-B (no pics as its shamefully filthy at the moment).

Currently have hitech's fitted and a AVO TMIC. I'm pretty sure that as of late since visiting this site I've caught some sort of "mod" disease as Ive just bought a larger turbo. Its a VF52 that the 09 WRX uses. So far the mod list for the next month or so is

1. PhatGT full exhaust system including mufflers.
2. 750cc injectors
3. SARD Fuel pump/regulator
4. Cobb SF CAI with box
4. Dyno tune by Pulse racing

Hoping I can maybe get somewhere around 220Kw ATW, im thinking (and hoping) its a fairly reasonable expectation. Next step will probably be a better clutch (single mass FW) then some brembo's + wheels. By that stage Im hoping to be miraculously cured of this crazy "mod" disease.

Also hoping to do a dyno run before all is fitted (will remove my hitech's). Just depends on how time goes over the next few weeks. Failing this I'm hoping someone else has dyno'd a MY07 stock GTB?

Pic of shinny new turbo:

C'mon Gordy - how long you had the car for??? And you've got no pics of it clean.... tutt tutt. haha!

Yes, this forum does have contagious disease, but fark it's a good one!

Nice mod list you've got. Good luck with the power quest.

Great post, Gordon! This will be a nice 'starting point' for you as we track your mods from beginning to end. :P I think there are a lot of people on the fence about the VF52, and as soon as there are 1 or 2 success stories will jump on the bandwagon.

Btw don't worry about having a clean car. Senator's car is dirty 362 days out of the year!

Nice start Gordy. Don't know about the mod disease being contagious. I've been able to get away with only modifying the parts that either I planned on doing from the start (mufflers for better music) or that I felt needed doing after driving the car for a bit (tyres and front brakes). Just gotta be strong :P

Great work Gordy but we do want to see some pics as well. I suggest you get yourself a new clutch before you try and get her tuned with the new snail and fuel system. From experience I can tell you that our stock clutch will not hold at the top end once you get up to that sort of power. This makes tuning impossible unless you try and tune in 4th gear.

I was thinking about the clutch, but I really want to go for a single mass flywheel, which is going to get expensive. Not sure on what sorta heavy duty clutches I can easily get in Aus and postage from overseas isn't going to be cheap!

Will probably end up sticking with the current clutch as i'll be int he states in December and I'll bring a HD clutch back with me.

Jim, I think I'm in the same boat as Senator. Especially lately, i just hate washing it as its guaranteed to rain within 24 hours after. I should move out bush and take my hose and bucket with me, I recon I could end the drought in a few weekends!

For those that dont know the VF52 is a slightly larger turbo than the standard VF46. More details can be found here - http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.p ... 52&page=10

Yep that's the best bit, direct bolt on. Not sure the oil line will bolt up but I'm planning on replacing this with a braided one (after the previous failures reported by some people, and the SOA recall).

Gordon mate, so many ppl are looking forward to the results of that VF52 ;)

So how did that Cisco exam go?

No Cisco (i wish less pressure), it was google :) Pretty good, but its hard to say as who knows how other people went...

I kinda feel like the guinea pig! With all this interest i'll make a big effort to visit a dyno before all the craziness happens! Anyone know any DynoDynamics (same as Pulse) dyno's west of Sydney?
