new CF grille

Postby dutch7 » Thu Apr 23, 2009 10:58 pm

Hi guys, well I finally received my CF grille today from Troy / Pro Speed Racing, after a minor hiccup with postage. Got a great deal on it with the STI badge included, and it took less than 15mins to install, very happy!

...hmm think I need an STI lip now!?

Looks great Dutch! Post more pics during day time as it'll look awesome!

Btw you need to get rid of that amber if you're going with ultra-violet parkers. :D

thanks guys, I'm not the best photographer so please excuse the lighting. a mate of mine just bought a new DSLR so yeh will get him to take some nice shots one day :) what would I replace the amber with? are there clear LED's available these days?

i think its just CF coated but don't quote me on that, I intially wanted a black grille rather than CF and was thinking of painting it one day. It doesn't bother me so much now as its not too noticeable :)

Dutch - if you're interested, I've literally just installed my LED parkers and foggies about 5 mins ago - I'll put some pics up tonight in my project thread.

sweet, would like to see some shots of those foggies mate! I think I'll keep the UV LED parkers and change the HID bulbs to 12000K as I love the purplish look 8)
I dropped in to Autobarn today and searched on the net for clear indicator bulbs (that flash amber) but it doesn't seem like any one sells the wedge type ones...!?

Couple of us have already done the LED's into the fogs - see Arith's pics here:

http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?t=4588

They do match the HID's nicely without the HID cost and headaches

However dont expect them to do ANYTHING in the way of lighting the road at night  (not that the stockers are much good either) Still good for oncoming traffic to see you and they dont dazzle
