Update - 13 Sept - Finished!

Just need Tangles to take some pics of the car to do it justice now! LOL.

---------------------------------

You know the story so far...

Past 2 years...

So first mod was the change of plates to my initials!

Second was the interior. I'm over black and I couldn't order it with any other color, so I changed it! The after pics are terrible but they are all I can capture with a ordinary camera!

That looks different, yet cool. Great job, keep the pics coming.

My thoughts were triggered by this:

But I have put black on the bolsters to prevent the lighter color from discolouring.

It's really hard to get good pics of it actually. I've just gone back through the pics above and they make it look shite! Oh well, those on the Melb cruise on Monday can have a look at it in the flesh.

Thats awesome....well done, mate! Mind if I ask you how much it costs? And also where did you get it done?

Are the bolsters still the original leather? They look blacker and glossier?.

Like the two tone, not sure about the logos tho

Nice work

Subi Boy - they're a company down here in Melbourne that has done a few of my interiors now. This guy is an off-shoot of Blackman's.

Boxer - I actually removed the logo's on my first review and it looked bare - I would have to put black around the top and then it wouldn't have looked integrated. So I had them put back in. As for the black - look at the pics that I just posted - it's not shiny, it's actually quite flat. And yes, all the black leather was replaced as the OEM stuff is crap!!

Cheers

The later shots show it off better. Not my cup of tea (I like the understated tone of the original), but it isn't my car either. Important thing is you are happy with it

i may be wrong but isnt there an airbag in the side of the seat ? if so will it still work?

Hi tim75,

Yep, you're right. - my trimmer is certified to unstitch and restitch SRS bags. The seat side bolster (where the airbag is) is not modified at all. It's only the inside edge that has had an additional 16mm of padding in it.

There's a thread in the cosmetics section about legalities of modifying seats and I've covered the whole thing in there about insurance, ADR's etc.

Cheers

Wow! Unique! Not my cup of tea either, but as Smythie said, as long as you're happy with it, that's what's important.

I think blacknwhite should give up his alias and sign it over to you as you're now more blacknwhite than anyone here. :D
