easy and simple to install, sounds awsome (eg. spooling up and a neat blow off valve sound) and also i think it goes a bit better (eg. my car felt like as if it died of a touch a 5 g revs now it flows a bit better) if you have a idea of wat i mean, thats the best way i could explain it sorry mate but all up very happy with it, goes better and i think worth the money.wen spooling up it also has like an electronic sound to it.they also say it gives you 14.9 hp which is around 7-8 kw who knows, need to go on dyno to really find out.

good work on the installs, and agree on getting your car on the dyno after installing the intake. You want to be certain on what sort of AFR you getting now to be safe. Your ecu will also learn with a few hours of driving with that intake and likely to see the real results then. I'm a fan of the cubby pod.

kit was (from memory) $550 to my door and i could only get it on the american ebay sight ebay.com. K&N australia do not have a listing for this, when you look the kit up, you have to look it up for a 2.5 turbo legacy as the gen 4s in america are.
cheers steve

I went out yesterday to my mechanic and he bent up some mandrel bends in polished alloy and I am going to run the piping shortly and have made up an attachment so that i can remount the oxygen sensor onto the new intake. But my problem is that I dont really want to have to spend 500 for this kit when all im really missing is the heat sheild.
can they be bought separately? if not does anyone have a diagram or schematic of the heat sheild so that i can fabricate my own?
cheers
