I wish I could say it did. The goal is to hopefully incorporate it into a final year project- perhaps a fully custom controller utilising 4 wheel slip detection.

Hopefully we get out of lockdown soon as at the moment it has delayed my course 18 months

Front wheel delta is the recommended set-up for street driving for the Spiider Pro. Their logic is that it allows for the detection of understeer events faster than a front-rear sensor set up, and I'm not going to argue with that.

Full 4 wheel slip detection would be very nice to have! In say thing that, it is a liberty, not a wrx, so understeer is going to be much more likely and the set-up works extremely well even just monitoring for that!

Presumably the wheel speed difference at full steering lock is the null lock baseline, and any wheel speed delta over that is where dccd lock kicks in?

I forget your inputs but assuming steering angle is not one of them?

I would love to get my hands on 4 space savers and have some fun! Or just AD08s on dirt- that's basically the same

Your assumption is correct, but on top of that it has access to accelerometer data to determine how the car is cornering versus the wheel speed. Steering angle is not one- it only looks at throttle position and wheel speed from the car, as well as accelerometer and gyroscope data.

I’m intrigued to know if the canbus signal from the abs computer to the BIU/BCM is 4 channel or single/aggregated or even eg average & delta.

I’ll bet you may find out once sniffing the canbus eg for steering angle etc. I’m not sure anyone has even looked for it yet, eg the subarudiesel site…

I’d guess that VDC sense may require any of the above in some form, although it clearly uses SAS too.
