Nice work mate :) Is it just straight bolt-off-bolt-on or is it a bit of a pain (things in the way etc)?

Also, I see in the pics you don't have the engine cover on yet, any chance you could take a few pics of what needs to be trimmed to make it fit? I did a bit of a search and trimming is mentioned but I haven't found any pics or descriptions of how much.

OOh got it painted too! Very nice!

Trimming just involves cutting a tiny bit of the engine cover on the part that meets the intercooler. I did a dodgy diy and it worked fine. :)

Nice work Adam, how does she go now?

Has the wife said anything about the new TMIC?

pretty easy sraight forward fit, took about 30 minutes. the strut brace made it slightly more awkward but only because i was trying to be careful not to do damage to either piece. I'll try and put up a few pics of the cover trimming escapade tonight.

I can certainly feel an exciting difference so i can't imagine how much better it'll feel once i get my D.P. and a tune.
the wife doesn't drive in the rev range that you'd notice it in

Just curious though do you think black will hold the heat more?

fair question mano and to tell the truth that is what AVO gave me and there wasn't a point where i got given a choice. I was kinda hoping that it would look similar in finish to jims but... oh well.
as for heat retention i'm not sure but i'm sure it'll be o.k. maybe not quite as efficient standing still.

Hey hey! Nothing wrong with a black intercooler. :pardon: Mine was painted black by the Phatman himself so I have every confidence it is not detrimental to performance or efficiency. It's been Phat Approved! :good: Plus it's been weeks and so far it hasn't caught fire or anything. :D

But it looks good, Adam! Can't wait to have you modify the engine cover and see what it looks like.

It won't. Black objects tend to radiate heat more than lighter coloured objects actually.
