Kudos re the wing, subtle yet lovely :good:

Is anything preventing your crankcase pressure under boost check?
Need tips?

Haha nothing other than being lazy. I feel like I've got a million things to sort, and I can't seem to get rid of my hesitation and ECUFlash won't talk to my car for some reason (romraider is working, and I've tried a few things to try and get it working, but it refuses to work).

Need tips?

While I've got you here, any tips on what I should be logging to find my hesitation would be great.

I actually did a bit more tweaking of ECUflash (I had previously uninstalled/reinstalled to no avail)

I did a big clean of the files as per here
https://www.evoxforums.com/threads/ecuf ... elp.69667/

Then reinstalled it and the drivers and it has worked, no more fuel pump CEL

One code deleted (but I forgot to clear it, so it's still stored, whoops)

Speaking of my fuel pump, I knew it had to come out to sort my bulkheads, Ryder have updated their install instructions to include the plastic style of pump assembly lid and were very helpful when I messaged them.

Basically I had to grind out a section so that the inner bulkhead could seal nicely against the bottom of the lid. So, out with the fuel pump assembly.
Take the filter and pump off

The original holes, I was hoping that having the bulkhead seals screwed down tight would allow the top ones to seal enough, but this definitely wasn't the case.

Using a forstner bit I drilled out a flat round section for the bulkhead to seal against

All the usual stuff to put it back together

Hopefully no more leaks

It has been a while since an updates, I have done a few little things, but nothing huge.

In regards to the hesitation I tried MAF cleaner and running a can of UEC through. That didn't fix it, so I tried unplugging the front O2 sensor, one CEL later, no more hesitation. I bought another Denso O2 sensor and it has been smooth sailing since.

I also had a small coolant leak from the turbo after sustained hard driving/going up large hills. I decided I was sick of that, so I bought some AN fittings and hose and made a new line.

I just tied it into the heater hose for the time being, but a custom header tank will be made at some point and have AN fittings.

I have been meaning to get a better dashcam for ages, and I jumped on a 30% off sale to grab a BlackVue camera setup.

I have been very happy with it and it is far more convenient and reliable than my old cam.

I also bought a Wangan H brace ages ago that I finally got around to fitting.
The old LCA bracket:

I also bought a Raceseng shift knob, and after more than a month waiting for shipping it arrived and I am very happy with it.

Nice one all round, especially the blue bits coming together!

How'd you work out what p/n to use for the a/f sensor, and which vendor and what was the price?

Info for my exhaust sensor faq post: it's always good to see members successfully sidestepping the whole "oem exhaust sensor part numbers only" thing as genuine Denso oen equivalent parts are usually much better value an available locally :good:

The p/n I used was Denso 234-9035, I bought from RockAuto out of the states for 170AUD delivered, Amazon was about the same, but RockAuto had faster shipping (for reference, it arrived in about 10 days).

I used the Denso lookup found here: https://densoautoparts.com/find-my-part.aspx
to get the p/n, the only thing to be weary of is that it's a USDM lookup.

When it arrived, they were identical looking, from the harness to the sensor tip:

Awesome!
I’ll add the info asap thanks very much!

Also the bit about the front A/F sensor blind testing.
As regards that, it triggers a CEL of course but does it also trigger limp mode?

Now I could search your thread for the hesitation issue that provoked the test, but can you sum up the specifics for us please?

I don't believe limp mode was triggered as the car drove perfectly other than the presence of a CEL, and reduced fuel economy (it was bad anyway).

The O2 unplug was also to confirm a suspicion as the car would only hesitate below 3k rpm leading me to believe it was only happening in closed-loop fueling mode. Unplugging the O2 forced the car into open-loop at all times and also instantly fixed the hesitation and drivability issues. Trying a new O2 was merely an extension of this as it was a place to start.

The hesitation itself occurred anywhere up to 3k rpm and was characterised by the car feeling like it suddenly lost power. At first it wasn't too bad and was only apparent when cruising as the car would lightly jerk back and forward as it lost and gained power. As the issue got worst the car wouldn't take off properly as it would lose power right as it was setting off.

I also forgot to mention in the previous post that my positive battery terminal was quite lose, and resulted in the car not starting until the positive terminal was jiggled. I ended up getting a new terminal and that has fixed that problem entirely.

Awesome! Thanks for the thorough explanation :)

Did you use ssm logging at any time during diagnosis?

I did use some logging to check a couple of things, including avcs solenoids and the O2 sensor readings. The issue I found was that it was almost impossible to tell what was cause and what was effect. It was hard to tell if the avcs fluctuations were due to bad solenoids or due to another problem. The O2 sensor didn't have obvious voltage problems when warmed either.

Seb, you know I don't wash my car very often (still more often than you though) and that I just use whatever is laying around

Nice to see you on the forums though
