Fitted the Works to the new Lib

I quite like the gold, but the plan is to get them powdercoated silver once this set of tyres dies. That way it can retain its stock+ kind of look.

Not a whole lot of progress so far, mostly just trying to make it nicer to be in.
Of course the DAMD wheel got swapped in.
Image

The stereo has been pulled out and a double DIN fascia is on the way. I still need to wire it up at some point, but it'll happen.

I also ordered a Diamond Works SI drive cover, it is a great piece and I would highly recommend one to anyone.
Image

I have also ordered more goodies for the interior. A bunch from Redline Goods, and some new floor mats from fitmycar.

I also need to do some adjustment to the light bar wiring, I bought a switch which I'll wire in so I can have it off, on, or on with highbeams. At the moment it only toggles between on and off, which just isn't particularly practical. I'll likely sort that out when I get into installing the head unit.

It has been a while since an update, I started work on a bunch of interior stuff, and I still haven't got it done. I have started my stereo install, but still haven't got it hooked up yet due to getting glandular fever just after pulling it all apart.

I knew from the start that I wanted a blue themed interior, so to compliment my wheel and redline covers I decided to have a crack at making a shift knob cover as the old one was pretty worn anyway.
I got some leather and a couple of leather-work tools and got to work.
I used the original cover as a template and cut out the pieces of leather. Next I used a stitch marker to mark out the pieces, then used an awl to puncture the leather. I sewed the pieces together by hand to make the basic shape, then I used the marker and awl to create the holes for the blue thread.
Image
Then I sewed the blue decorative thread.
Image
Once it was done I glued it onto the shift knob.
Image

I also installed my redline good boots.
Image

I don't have photos of everything in the car yet because it's in pieces, but I am really happy with how it looks so far.
Also on a side note, I had to send back my arm rest cover because it wasn't long enough, apparently I have the extended arm rest, but I am pretty sure it's just the stock facelift rest.

I also got some overnight parts from Japan.
Image

I have more exterior parts underway, mostly just prepping and painting to do, but hopefully they will be on soon and the interior will be back together as well.

I got this a while ago for the blue lib, but never got around to doing much with it.
Image

The new car had the typical rear garnish fade (rear spoiler too, I'll get to that later), so it was a good opportunity to use the mid spoiler.
Image

I painted the spoiler and my spare pre-face garnish
Image

Fitted the garnish (including the rear fog light, yet to be wired though)
Image

Then added the spoiler

No plans to run e85 at this point, if I ever do it will be on a flex tune because e85 is just too scarce in Hobart to run it as the only fuel in a daily.

There are plenty of other things before I reach that point though.

Yeah, definitely enjoying the power.

And over the past two days I finally got around to finishing the audio install and putting the interior back together (I started like 2 months ago then got glandular fever).
Image
All together, blue stitching on the boots, wheel, gear knob, and floor mats (fitmycar).

Just waiting for the arm rest cover and most of the basic interior stuff will be done.
