Smashed 2nd center diff with this.

That's an insane curve you maintain decent top end power across a decent range of rpm!

Is the center Diff the DCCD section at the end of the transmission? (No strengthening options)
Did Mick dr20t manage to overcome this at all?

JUST AN UPDATE:

I have recently installed a Built cosworth Closed deck rated for 400kw ATW. Currently on stock turbo so only 160kw atw, just trying to sort out what we can do with this transmisison before i go any further. Still have all the bolt ons as listed in the first page minus the upgraded 18g turbo. (had a leak, currently in repairs)
I will update thread when i can with details of the built engine.

From what i have gathered over the past few months regarding the transmission is:
1. Some People in the US have been running the 5EATS fully built at over 300kw with the Gen 4's , they have many similar internal components to the Gen V. Someone in the US is running a supercharged GEN V 3.6r with about 300kw and these transmissions are practically identical to the GEN V GT's
2. The biggest weak link is the center diff gears, they are just too weak and even with upgraded clutches many have broken them, some Even after cyro treatment and planetary bushings upgrade.
3. there is no upgrade for the GEN V valve body (no shift kit available at the moment)
4. STI manual conversion is a huge undertaking and someone in Taiwan attempted it but had many issues with canBUS communications. There are some manual Gen V Gt owners who are doing the 6speed swap however.

I have contacted PAR (a gear manufacturer) to see if they can custom build the Intermediate centre diff shaft, pinion/planetary gears and pinion shaft. ( these components are the weak link) They said they are happy to look into it, so im just gathering the samples to send to them.

I plan to do the EFR 6758 or 7163 Turbo twin scroll setup , will see what happens with the transmission otherwise i'm screwed.

You will then break the bearing from the transfer of the case  trust me.

I'm slowly killing this 6 speed and I'm not being mean to it.....

Ok Below are the details for the newly Installed Engine. Bolt ons and accessories are still the same as the mod list in the first page. Just to refresh peoples memory, i blew the previous stock engine, bearings went, due to oil starvation. Heads are stock but fully reconditioned and Turbo is stock but once i know for sure if im going over 300kw and a built transmission can handle it then i will install some aftermarket camshafts. Only running 160kw atw at the moment with stock turbo on E85 as i mentioned before due to limitations of transmission.
Car Runs great with built engine more smooth and quiet then stock engine, clean and crisp, Highway driving is exceptional.

UPDATE:
Torque converter and valve body have crapped themselves , Rough on Idle drive and valve body doing all sorts of funny things, codes were pulled which confirmed valve body and converter problem.

Will use this opportunity to do a full transmission rebuild including making aftermarket gears for the transfer case. Will update upon progress. Once i sort out the transmission then i will start playing with power and making use of the 400kw rated engine.

UPDATE!
long overdue follow up, Not much has happened since last post. So valve body was faulty which is common on the Gen V's , i got a new valve body installed. Torque converter was fine. I didn't do the transmission build, because nobody can build this transmission to my desired power levels , it will just be trial and error and i cant afford that. Car has been running fine since built engine, about 7000km since rebuild. Looking for a good bolt on turbo that will at-least take me to 200kw. There is only one bolt on turbo on the market for the Gen V but ive heard some bad things about it.

Car is fun to drive, the stock turbo matched with the high compression built engine actually goes really well, very quick spooling, of course current power level is getting quite boring. I don't think the future looks good for this build as the transmission is the biggest obstacle. Manual transmission swap for the Gen V has not been done before, also it will be extremely costly, so i cant go down that path. We will see what happens.
If anyone knows someone who has done an auto Gen v built tranny for high power levels, please let me know.

Pity mate, would you consider a 6MT car and just swapping engines over? That might be the cheapest and best option. In saying that the Gen 5 5+1 box would still need to be swapped out for something else.
