Hi

I purchased a 2010 (my11) Liberty Gt wagon , Auto, in mid october 2016, Previously had a 2004 Outback H6. Great cars. I have been a member since mid october 2016 and have done a few mods since. I haven't taken any pics of my car yet, Its just the stock standard Steel Silver 2010 Gt wagon. I thought i'd post the Mods with part numbers where applicable which may be of help to someone. Forum members have been great, always willing to help and give advice. Its been a challenge sourcing parts for the Gen V.

For now I am basically going to do as much as i can performance wise up until i have to start playing around with engine internals. I will have to keep an extra close eye on radiator temps and transmission slippage and other relevant info to ensure this setup will last a while on the stock engine and transmission without blowing anything up :)

thanks , just a mild, calculated build for now. will see what happens in the future.

i finally got the final tune with Matt (kiDO) on e85 after all the mods. I have not noticed much of a difference in power compared to when it was just stock+ a tune, which has really surprised me actually. Had i known that i would not get much of a difference at all with the added upgrades , especially with e85, then i would have just kept the stock engine + the tune.

I did a dyno just so i can confirm figures seeing as there are so many number flying around forums without any graphs. Even though my car is an Auto, i am not sure why some people suggest these cars achieve at-least 185kw (matt said 200kw + on e85) with the basic Mods that i upgraded + a tune.

although the power is nice right from the start, it quickly flats out. It only has good punch @2500 rpm or so where most of the power comes on. (dyno guy couldn't attach rpm reading for some reason) Its running 19lb boost, i will be emailed the sheet including the boost reading shortly.

stock liberty gts get about that power

definitely somethings not right

also if its on e85 AFR's should be on a higher side of 12''s?
that dyno graph shows its about 11 all the way hmmm?

correct me if im wrong

Interesting to see the graph. Can't believe how low the power figure is considering e85.

Maybe that just goes to show how bad the auto is.

you are right, Dyno guy who is also a Tuner mentioned that it should be around the 12's as well as Matt but still wont be too much more power anyway i believe.

yes for me it was very interesting because of my high expectations due to the forum and my lack of understanding, but i will try and get to the bottom of this if there is an issue, but i dont think there is , other then it running a little rich the car health wise is great, no known issues. Maybe the autos suffer big time from power, i would not know until i get other people to dyno their similar modded auto Gen V's

hmm i think something is wrong... i made 125kw with the stock tune, and then 175kw after a retune + hks filter.
then went 3in tbe into stock muffs, inlet, few other bits and bobs & did 184kw... Stock muffs holding me back and also it was 33degree ambient temp.
i'd double check all your vac lines and maybe log it and see if you can find anything, because even though mine is manual it still should be pretty up there near what matt said around 185...

Hmm, I've logged it and will give it to someone to have a look at, see what's going on. I know that another forum member Satogixxer (Michael) did 149.5 kw on his gen V manual completely stock , could it be that I need a 3port boost controller? , maybe issue with holding boost or something ?

i wouldn't say a 3port would make it any better, it just controls it better. also 19psi is a fair bit, i'm running 18.5psi for 184kw... do afew logs, reset ecu and check your vac hoses would be my suggestion.

I do know that the boost is playing up on top end , and is very flat, its not holding up well throughout the rev range, only gear one has some punch . Sometimes it reaches 21.6psi, According to the Btssm . Can i reset ECU via the btssm app i have? also will it ruin the tune? not sure how that works. And where are the vacuum hoses? wouldn't a leak have been obvious during dyno or tune?

if your boost isn't holding pressure, a 3port and possibly a bov may help, especially if it's spiking like it seems to...
Vacuum hoses there are multiple, one under the intercooler on the manifold is a common one to pop off...
