That puzzling moment when you realize the previous owner was a sparky.... I believe this was to turn a Sub Amp on...

Finally got around to wiring in a relay for the W2A pump, no more jamming wires into the battery terminals every day. Popped the plastic out with a flat screwdriver, the silver ring comes out easy and then the black piece around the gear stick is separate. Its little harder to pop the clips on this bit but its not fragile. Then the Coin holder/lighter part pulls out towards the gear stick, easy peasy.

A little sketch of how it was wired :)
This means the W2A pump comes on when i turn the key to ACC - Prob's not going to be ideal in the long run as it would be best to trigger the relay when key is at ON position. But for now to save me from jamming wires in and out and potentially forgetting to turn the pump ON before i drive, it'll do.

Met up with Matt yesterday, he tidied up the tune :)
Now that i have a bead rolled on the throttle tube and the hose isn't split/ popping off all the time, BOOST is WICKED! Peak is ~18psi in Sport # :D
As seen below, Torque delivery is nice and linear. Spool up looks a little slow in comparison to others, i believe this is a good thing as i'm still on stock bottom end Haha. Really easy to drive around town

Love it :)
How does it go in I mode? Did you get matts tune that more or less equalises the throttle angles whist providing 3 boost levels ? :P

YES and YES! HAHA
Its actually still fun cruising around in I mode, i feel like i can here the wastegate more :)
Plus im fairly sure I mode with 12psi still makes a fair bit of POWAR (Enough for my GF  ) but the way its delivered is very smooth!

Ill try and do some more logging soon, roads in my area have been too busy to get 3rd gear runs... and not to mention cops... they are like rats around here...

Gathered some data from this mornings drive to work :)
This was logged using an ELM 327 and Torque PRO on Android. Logging is alot slower than when using a tactrix cable but its good for monitoring things each time i drive.
In addition to having it setup to log via bluetooth each time i'm in the car, i have Alarms setup to sound for things such as Coolant temp, IAT, Manifold pressure and Boost. Just in case things ever get out of control :)

Excellent, love that!
You'll like btssm even more than torque, but you'll need a kkl USB, the tactrix (both via otg) or btssm bt adapter.
Gives full ssm params inc ovc vvt...
I use megalog viewer ms to graph my logs: the 3 way scatter graphing (x, y, colour) is awesome :)
Can also setup custom params eg lh ocv minus rh ocv giving ocv angle delta, use that param in a scatter graph vs eg boost n revs. :P
Btssm also supports tcu logging for auto peeps: monitor temps etc...

Nice! I should really pull my finger out and make the switch to btssm. I can see the advantages. cheers for the help BBB :)
Logging lh OCV vs rh OCV i really need todo as i seem to keep getting CEL's for P0011 and P0021.

I originally thought this was todo with having filters in the Banjo bolts but i have since removed them and still randomly get the CEL's. I then changed oil and engine oil filter to see if that would work... no luck... Any ideas?

And finally last update for now, changed the fuel filter and pump sock.
After running E85 for awile the fuel bucket was pretty grotty and so was the sock on the pump.

As everyone says E85 definitely cleans out the fuel lines/system i've probably done just over 5,000Km's on E85.
More maintenance to come :)

You'll want to try logging the ocv angles, swapping the ocv's between l&r sides to see if the issue follows.
Pending logging, cleaning the cam sensors is a possibility as well.
If ocv logging reveals an issue then cleaning by activating the ocvs with a 9v battery in wd40 or similar may work, or replace with new via eg partsouq. Diys on this forum...

The symptom of avcs cam gears requiring cleaning or replacement is mainly that, as seen in logs, the ocv angle is either inactive or activates then gets stuck.
DIY cleaning is possible, otherwise replace them.
Whereas ocv issues are lag during activation or oscillation just above idle or during cruise.

Thanks again Benny :)
I have previously followed this thread viewtopic.php?f=10&t=30105&p=407081#p407081 to remove the Banjo filters and clean the OCV's.
But like i said the codes came back... i'm just going to replace the OCV's with new ones and failing that ill clean up the AVCS Cam gear when i do my timing belt (Soonish). Following this viewtopic.php?f=18&t=20233

Tonight ill do some logging of lh vs rh CAM angles and post my findings :)

FYI; I'm placing links in to threads so that if any other NOOBS are curious about this stuff they can find it a little easier (Maybe), i'm not a mechanic but having a walk through makes things abit less daunting :)

Grouse, post eg a Dropbox link to the log file and I'll take a peek in megalog. Freeway cruise and holding 1500-1800rpm in neutral plus a wee pull should be heaps, in any order...
