My new pod

Postby Rosso » Thu Nov 23, 2006 8:01 pm

Heres my new Apexi filter kit i scored from the Phat man.
Induction noise has increased big time!! & the BOV lets everyone know its there too.

I need exhaust now to even out the sound balance front & rear. :D

Thats probably the best airfilter that is /has been on the market for a long time! Should last you years without a problem - just don't get it wet.

Have you seen the air boxes in the older prodrive wrx cars? Thats as close to refridgerated as it gets!

They did - it was a carbon fiber box with some kinda gel or something between the layers - i've got a pic somewhere but can't seem to find it.

Hey Mo

This POWER ENTERPRISE filter is up there with Apexi as one of the two best ive come across and have used these my self.

The only thing that POWER ENTERPRISE lacks is there pipe kits as this is where APEXI comes out in front but as far as filters go its equel if not better

Sadly not as well known here

Thanks for that Phat, must admit that i know very little about the Power Enterprise filters. I had the Apexi Super intake many years ago on my wrx - only good things to say about it even tho i killed it...

Go to Clarkes Rubber and buy some of that heat resistance foam with reflective backing, and use that to enclose the pod. Simple but very effective in shielding it from the engine bay heat. Make a lid as well.

I did that in my WRX and the difference was very noticeable. If you opened the bonnet after a hard run. The area around the pod was cool to the touch.
