Mods Plan - 08 GT-B

Postby Frame007 » Mon Jun 22, 2015 4:04 pm

Hi Everybody,
I've been in possession of my 08 GT-B Auto Sedan for 4 years now and it's still stock!
The time has come to rectify that, so after many weeks of searching this forum and the web, taking into account everything I've read, I've come up with the following plan that I'd like your expert feedback on.
Main aim is for improved throttle response and low down power/torque. Max power isn't overly important, but some extra intake & exhaust noise would be appreciated by my ears. Maybe even a touch of BOV noise.

Current Plan:
Invidia Q300 exhaust & down pipe.
Silicone Turbo Inlet hose (PSR/AVO/Kobe any preference?)
Kido Tune
Would some sort of new panel filter or CAI system be needed or is the stock one up to it?
Whiteline front bushes and sway bar kit (KCA334, W0506 & BSK014) - Bushes are needed anyway.
HEL Brake Lines
DBA 4000XS Rotors Front and Rear (I like the look)
Intima SR or QFM HPX Pads F&R.

Anything you guys think I have missed? Anything that you think is overkill given the modest aims I have? Would love to hear some feedback either way.
Shockworks suspension, STI Spec R Recaros and new wheels are also on the wish list but I doubt the budget will stretch that far so focusing on this first.

Thanks
Simon

Welcome mate and as Jack said you've done well to modify until now

Sounds like just about everything to get started, I think 3 port boost solenoids seem pretty common too (although I haven't looked into them because my car isn't turbo)

Your list is backwards. Do the interior with a damd wheel, spec r recaros are only $3k inc rear seat.
Then Shockworks and the bushes.
Then the zorst, pump, tune, Kobe bov for some psssht... :P

The order he has is correct. Rest comes later after drivability is achieved.

Unfortunately a little something called a mortgage had to take priority :(
It's been on my mind for ages, and now I can :D

IMHO...
I rate interior comfort and especially handling over the other stuff.
And the tune & pump for reliability.

The car is completely ridiculous until you get next level shocks and a decent tune.
That's based on my experience. :good:

The tiny wheel is nice too. :P

What on earth do silicone inlets and cheap zorsts have to do with drivability? :)
