Hello All,

I have decided to start up a member profile as I'm going to be doing a few things to my car and want to track it somewhere.

Here is the car as I bought it.

When I bought it it had 25,000 km on the clock.

Previous owner used it as a second car as he had a company car. Car did 5000 km in 5 years. Last service was at 20,000 km and in 2011.

After picking up the car, first order of business was a full service and cam belt change for peace of mind. book says to change every 4 years or 100,000. Well its def 4 years even though the car has only done 25k.

During service, went over whole car and its definitely low mileage car, everything is still clean, tight and smooth.

As its the long weekend in Melbourne, decided to fit new lights and globes. After speaking to Leo and checking out some of the build posts here I found out I will need to take pretty much the whole front end off.

So thats what happened.

Whole thing took me about 6 hours as

1. didnt want to damage anything
2. didnt know where the clips were so had to go by feel most of the time.
3. was also replacing my mates globes and parkers in his '05 XT Forester - luckily only grill and headlights needed to come out in that car.

Next item on the list will be exhaust. Looking at Invidia, Xforce and HKS atm

not sure if i should go only cat back or full turbo back.

Suggestions ?

Going for mainly sound and tone over stock but the extra kw always help. will do tune after exhaust goes on.

Also consider cost, dump pipe is an expensive part. If you can though a turbo back exhaust + tune is the best way to go

If you don't have the $$ to do it all at once you can do a cat back and run without a tune fine until you complete the full system

Heya All,

I have now sold the car. I really liked it but needed a wagon so traded it in for a Beemer Wagon. These cars are very good value atm so if anyone is looking to upgrade or change over you can sell it for a nice profit or trade it in for a good amount. I bought the car for 24k 18 months ago and traded it in for 22k, the dealer now has it on their website for 33k drive away. LOL. I'm sure I could have gotten more than 22k private sale but didnt want to be dicked around.

Can't believe how much mark up the dealer put up on it and how much they are asking for it, but there you go.

So this one then: http://www.carsales.com.au/gallery/OAG- ... .z_driver=

No surprise, the Inchcape Melbourne group whack $10K on the trade value to negotiate back from.
My previous MY 09 Foz XT (90K km) with full Subaru service history, I got $21K trade in, then they offered it for $28K 2 weeks later.
I got fair value as I only owed $12K on the lease, and they had to put new tyres on and service it etc, and they gotta make a living off it.

Took a while to sell at that price though. I think they would have actually sold for $25 or so.
