Anything harsher I think it will begin to change the car into something else that may not be as enjoyable to drive around everyday.

Pic of the DCCD controller mounted in the car, was made to fit in the ashtray and all working well! Roundabouts are now a new sensation

Love it, do you have your btssm install behaving well?
Tasker OK?
Did you work out backup power?

Mostly, I have a small 5000mah battery bank to be able to keep the unit running while the car is off so I don't have to wait for it to boot everytime the car starts. BTSSM autostarts when it detects an OTG device connected.

Only niggle is I there is no way I can pinch to zoom the gauges in BTSSM to make them easier to read in the app as there is no touchscreen for my device. I emailed the dev asking about an alternate way to make gauges larger/smaller so we'll see if that happens. Otherwise logging is so easy and it's all tucked away in the center console, fantastic!

Yeah Heiche may be adding a numerical layout interface soon, otherwise make a layout on eg an android phone, by using a backup of your in car hosts settings, adjust, then reimport to the unit in the car.
I use Dropsync on Dropbox over wifi to backup & share my BtSsm settings & logs between devices.
Tasker takes care of syncing if req.

Theoretically I could send u my backup, to import, add your car, win.

Can u recharge the backup power supply using the car?
How long does the backup power last?

Interesting benny, I have messed around trying to root the device so I can use a remote access app on my phone to manipulate the screen and change the dial size but haven't had luck with that.

Yes you certainly can recharge the battery bank while the car is running, I have not managed to suck the powerbank dry yet, without a screen to power the android unit uses bugger all power :)

Pmu a Dropbox link to my BtSsm backups...
I've got a baby Wacom tablet that recognises pinches etc might be worth a try..
Send me a link to that backup power unit :P

No root? After my last attempt I'd take to a pro, try to hard and bricking can ensue...

So, impulse bought some 2nd hand headers and mid section for the H6.

Sounds good bru, time replace the fuel pump and filter to get it flex tuned too. :D

Nice stuff mate. You'll certainly notice a big difference when on E85, I certainly did. So much more low end torque.

Well, time for an update.

After discovering a headgasket leak since the last vic Reefton Run #2 cruise it is time for a new shortblock, after having half of an idea of what would happen when this day arrived I've finally got my hands on a new engine and additional supporting parts list as follows.

New EJ257 shortblock with oil, water, timing and gasket kit from Rising Sun Subaru - Ridiculously fast turnaround from Wendy and Kris! From QLD to VIC :D
Will be adding some forged pistons and rods
ARP 625+ Headstuds
Blouch Dominator 1.5XTR turbo
Killer B oil pickup
PSR unequal length headers
SARD Fuel Pressure Regulator
Process West Top Mount Intercooler to suit the STI style turbo outlet
STI Group N engine mounts

Now it all just needs to be put in the car hopefully before Christmas and then tuned. Can't wait :P

I will have my existing Mishimoto TMIC and barely used new VF52 for sale soon.

What I really want is a deshele but I won't be making enough power with the 1.5 in order to close deck the thing, getting closer to the 300 range would just create even more issues and require even more upgrades!

I'll believe I'll be more than satisfied with this setup, even the VF52 goes alright imho. :D

No shit you weren't kidding! I absolutely love it too! Who doesn't love dyno graphs, the thin lines are in 4th gear, the thicker ones in 5th. Have a Merry Christmas!

Only real update lately is the addition of an alternator cover that's supposed to be on an SG forester fitted to fill the gap of the missing engine cover, it looks alright!

Can report the car is still running pleasantly everyday, hasn't skipped a beat so far!

Couple of cool things are still in the works waiting to buy, stay tuned.
