They’re great with no controller ime, at least with stockish power lol, a la Tarmac Gear.
I bought an LDPerformance DCCD controller mainly due to budget constraints lol.

Otherwise MAPDCCD is said to be the one to get, and has extensive inputs, programming and map options and it uses a G sensor as part of the control strategy.

The LDPerformance controller is Gymkhana biased and as such it uses iirc braking, hand braking and boost as the major inputs. The site states it can be setup to allow the car to get out of shape before a corner then regain grip at corner exit under boost :P

Once installed I’d probably still drive the car in open mode, engage the controller map for going apeshit, and lock the diff for going nuts on snow, maybe gravel and absolutely on the dyno, none of which I’m currently doing.

Mappiong completed at long last.

Well, almost completed we just ran into the next limiting factor. So what we have is 440bhp and 332 lb/ft at about 7200rpm. Would you believe the engine can eat air faster than the SC can supply it.

However we started running into the charge cooler not being able to cope with cooling that volume of air and IAT went up to arouind 73c, so due to the higher temps Bob has to take out ignition to prevent the mother of all explosions. Bob did a calc that if I could keep the air temp below 40c he would be able to add more timing and fuel which theoretically would give another 40bhp.

As is the way with tunning when you make those mods other things will change, so the injectors are nearly maxed out on the current tune, so if I can make any changes to the IAT then I would need some dark blue injectors which are 545 as opposed to the STI pinks 503 which are in the car at present. Also the maf scaling only has a 0.15v range left so again right on the limit.

Am I happy, YES, I can finally use the full performance of the car for the first time. Look forward to driving and havving some fun.

Bought a brand new DCCD tranmission from Subaru as well today with exactly the same final drive ratio as my diff so no need to swap diffs and drive shafts

Damn that DCCD would've cost a pretty penny. Worth more then most 3RB's are in Australia.

A few seconds of the car doing its thing.

And the DCCD controller has turned up so just need to find the time to put it together.

Good stuff man. What's the exhaust setup again? I'm surprised how good and different it sounds. No rasp what so ever!

So good!
Zorst setup is right there in his sig, raptor headers with milltek 75mm cat back. ;)
However moar details may be the thing...
Pics on the first page: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=30174
Rough guess, turbo type (straight through perforated tube glass packed) mid muff to baffled (or turbo) rear muffs.

Wow so quite a bit of time has passed, where to begin

I have spent time accumalating parts and then in the last 4 months I have been getting them fitted up and as were in lock down now I have even more time.

So I have junked the WTA and gone FMIC which took 2 solid days of work to get in, and that didn,t include making up the support bracket and other mods also got the K2 front bumper all sorted to fit around the FMIC.

After fitting all this I had to drive home about 70 miles but being a complete arse I forgot to prime the SC with traction fluid so by the time I got home it was toast

This was a real pain because I had just taken delivery of a Haltech and didn't really want to spend out on a new SC but every cloud has a silver lining as the new SC flows 30% more air :clapping:
However this is not without its own challenges as the inlet pipe is 90mm compared 76mm on the old one which was a bloody tight fit already.

Also I have changed up the injectors as the pinks were running out of head room this pics shows the evolution of injectors in my car so far the final ones being ID1050s

Image

Other changes coming are I have modified a bonnet which will go on when the car gets wrapped but not untill then.

I have also brought a body kit which maybe not be to everyones liking but hey.........
This is waiting to go onto the car once I have got her up and running again.

Thanks so much, I’m hoping there was much grand touring sport/built ez h6 adventure in between now and the previous posts?

Are they jag vents? Unfknblvl regardless :good:

Can’t see it on the iPhone but is it a vg tuning pandem style kit for +0 fitments?

I’m just looking up the comp map for the upgrade sc

Hi Ben
The kit is from Monster Service in Russia!!!! build quality is excellent.

They are Jag vents well spotted.

The new SC is the C38r, just hoping I can get the whole car back together soon.

Awesome!
Yeah wb is something I’m still considering, cut n shut rear guard inners and outers as well.
Possibly vg tuning corazon copies, or wait to see what fenderist come up with.

I saw a lot about cfm to kgm comp map conversions re: choosing the correct trim and pullies for the sc.
Interesting stuff for sure!
I’m no expert but it looked to me like choosing a slightly lower max rpm might be the trick for keeping the sc in its efficiency sweet spot, at least where it’s going to be used most of the time.

Looked at the Corazon kit from VG as well but it was just to subtle a bit like putting Outback arches on and I wanted something different. The kit I have is quite easy to fit to the front but the rears will be more of a challenge, as you mention a cut n shut job that will still need to keep the water out.
