So finally its all in, but not without a fight.

Even though we carefully measured how long the drive belt should be the longest one we ordered was only just long enough, so may well order a slightly longer one for ease of installation.

The other main pain in the installation was creating enough space behind the new sc to enable a decent silicone bend to be clamped onto the sc inlet. We rerouted one of the power steering pump pipes and made some adjustments to how the loom runs.

Using an existing part of the Raptor bracket we added some further piping to allow the new bend to be connected to the air filter.

It might not be the the prettiest thing but we needed to get the system up and running, once its all mapped and tested amy well get round to making a version 2.

So the modified avcs oil control valve works, bit of a pain priming the traction fluid system for the sc mainly due to the fact that the reservoir is mounted below the headlight.

So the mapping session is booked just a few weeks to wait to see what it all comes to.

Complete Whiteline kit for the front suspension including steering rack
One off Carbon effect Front grill, Carbon lip spoiler, Exterior De-chromed, LED interior light conversion.
Recaro Leather front seats with all functionality.
Waist spoiler, Smoked rear lights,, LED sill plates, LED sidelights

So did a few more pre flight checks today.

One slight problem (self inflicted) is I need to keep an eye on traction fluid levels just while I'm in the early stages of building up confidence in everything thats been done.

To do this you need to remove the front bumper, and air filter.

The other challenge is that you need to check the level with the engine running at 2000rpm.

So with a self imposed rev limit of 4k until mapping I was very pleased to see a boost of 5.6psi at that limit, just maybe we are on for some interesting results from the mapping.

So not very good at controlling my right foot and accidentally hit about 4750rpm which was 7psi........ :D Need to be careful otherwise it won't make it to the rolling road session.

Took the front bumper off again today, peace of mind fluid check.

Whilst it was off I thought I would try another front bumper on that I recently acquired.

Not 100% sure about it, might just be the colour. Will fix up the damage on it and try it again when its in primer as that will be a better colour match and will decide then.

So today was the day the car went on the rolling road and I'm pleased to say I was able to drive home which was great.

After Duncan spent a bit of time making a few adjustments and a few low level test runs this was the first result. :rock: This figure equates to 300 whp.

I was over the moon to see this straight off and boost just below 1 bar at 12 psi.

So a few more runs were made with Duncan obviously making a few changes. The first thing that became clear that at 5600 rpm the MAf value was maxed out at 300. This means we had so much air passing through the MAF it was off the scale and unable to give the correct data for fueling. You can see on the AFR line it just bottoms out.

Duncan re-scaled the MAF but to no avail as we had run out of fuel pump!!! :cry: So basically we had to much air and not enough fuel :whistling: which meant we were not going to get any further. Duncan turned it down to the 416 bhp figure to keep the motor safe and with strict instructions to me to not go above 5600 rpm.

Pretty confident that the injectors are not the limiting factor as they are the 550 sti pinks, so I need to fit a bigger fuel pump (we thought we might run out) probably go for the DW300c over the DW65c already fitted. Also the other item which came to light is that the intake temp is hitting 120c at these higher boost levels so may need to think about re-organising the charge cooler to get the MAF after the cooler. What I could do with is an easy way of measuring the air temp after the charge cooler to see what the differential is across the cooler.

Overall very happy with the progress and getting close to max boost from the Rotrex SC. Where will we finish up, well its safe to say we will get 450bhp, 325whp after that anything is a bonus really.

Been having some fun driving even though I have to keep below 5600rpm this thing really shifts, in gear acceleration is just epic. Fuel consumption has hit an all time low. :lol:

They do measure at the wheels then convert to flywheel, as that figure is standard in the UK.
