Had these arrive today, going to swap out all the existing bushes on the front and replace with whiteline product.

you will notice the tightening of the front end and less bump deflection of steering.

So today was the first major road trip since fitting the coilovers and gave me a good chance to assess them over a variety of road surfaces. What is very noticeable is the increased stability at speed. Driving over some of our concrete motorways wasn't as noisy as I expected but it was necessary to optimise the speed to prevent speed related drumming. Overall very impressed just a little bit of harshness over ridges.

Spent a couple of very useful hours talking to the owner and one of the engineers. Their sc is similar but different to Raptor, there is no internal belt drive but uses a special fluid to provide rotational link between the 2 drive plates. So there would be some re-engineering involved but the sc unit is smaller in physical size but can produce upto 600bhp. The owner guaranteed the output of the unit and was happy to put in writing that if the system failed to deliver he would provide it free of charge. Decisions, decisions.

Had a day off today to get the rest of the front suspension bushes fitted.

Turned into a bit of a mission trying to get the lower passenger side ball joint out. It took two of us, one using a pry bar to open the joint whilst the other hammer down on the end of the lower wishbone. Just as well i decided to get the work done at a friend of mine's who has a ramp so we could get under the car easily otherwise it would have been a complete nightmare.

This is what we found when we finally got it apart.

A decades worth of rust holding it together. The drive home felt amazing the turn in is pin sharp and the car feels totally planted when cornering.

Love how the car feels and its new stance (yes I know its not that low but its still the family car :D )

So picked up yet another bargain today. A pair of Recaro electric seats with subframes that have already been professionally modified to work in a Legacy including the air bag system in the bolsters. Seats originally came out of an Audi S3.

The previous owner spent £1100 on getting them sorted I picked them up for £300.

So after having all the Whiteline stuff and coilovers fitted it was time to have the 4 wheel alignment done.

So this is what it looked like going in.

Quite a bit of work to do, decided to have it set within original spec rather than a fast road set up as the car is the family hack.

So after a few hours and a bit of swearing whilst trying to get get some bolts free on the rear this is what we finished up with.

Whilst the car felt good to drive and quite planted in the corners the drive home showed just how good these cars are with a decent suspension and geometry set up. The only niggle is the rear right camber being out but that will have to wait until I get round to upgrading all the bushes on the rear.

So today I had a mad moment and ordered a replacement supercharger that will deliver 16psi or 1.1bar. After visiting there setup a few weeks ago and several long telephone conversations I'm feeling pretty sure that the unit will deliver what I'm looking for which is a minimum of 240awkw. The unit will be ready in a few weeks and then time will tell if it was a good move.

Going to do a self install with a friend of mine who has a lot of Subaru experience, were going to retain a lot of the Raptor install so it will literally be about fitting the new unit and its oil reservoir and cooler also expecting to change the injectors and fuel pump.

Going for the C38-92 similar spec to C38-81
