I’m with you on that one!
Yeah the flares are subtle but I’ve seen some examples that swayed me, simply because it doesn’t define the car, just adds to it. And I could tuck my current rims acceptably.

Since we last spoke (before the big gap) I’ve become learned in the fabrication arts.
So I’m feeling confident to diy the job, helluva commitment tho’ :P

What type and spec rims would you run with +50mm?
Is that per side or total?
Me, unlimited budget, it would have to be 3pce with face mix for bbk on front. :)

Iirc you’d laugh in BBS LM...

I'm the sort of bloke who loves good cars that remain stock, however, you really make me want to get a SC for my H6!

Keep up the epic work!

So I'm intending to keep with 18 rims. With the Monster bodykit the front track is +40mm the rear +50mm per corner  The PPF7 are 18x8 offset 51mm new wheels are going to be 18x9.5 30mm offset tyres will be 275/35. This will be within 1mm of the stock rolling radius. For the rears I might just add in a 10mm spacer as running staggered wheels is apparently not good for AWD system. Looking at Bola wheels

Still plenty of work to do getting the Haltech in with the wideband sensors as the bungs are different between OEM and Bosch sensors so removing the exhaust with the car outside and not being able to get to my friends garage at present is a bit of a pain. Really pleased with how the bonnet came out but have been wondering whether they would look even better on the standard bonnet, can't decided as all the vents are for cosmetic reasons rather than function.

Awesome!
You can absolutely go staggered, either with a square set of rims with different offsets or with different offsets and widths, the latter as long as the tyre diameter is within the diameter difference spec that’s iirc, stated in the FSM. Don’t quote me but it was surprisingly generous at +/- 5% ?

For practical reasons, mainly tyre rotation, a square set would be my choice with different faces and or offsets.

You can check if the manufacturer offers custom offsets/mounting pad machining, eg in Australia, Koya offers this option.

Just had a look at the bola site, yep custom offsets and pcd.
Personally I’d get 4x in 9.5 +30 and 2x in 10.5 +10.
Without firing up willtheyfit com, I’d say the face/width mix set would tuck w/o spacers :nyam:

Or just send it and go 10.5 all round, surely that’s the point.
I definitely will fire up a comparator just out of interest

On the subject of bonnet vents, member hardware bob ran tests on his example, and demonstrated their effects, the results are in his profile thread.

Struggling to get the Haltech fired up currently no fuel pump or cranking the engine, waiting to hear how the immobiliser works with the ECU.

Why not adding function to the bonnet vents?
Less resistance for air flow by dumping the air build up in the engine bay should mean better airflow over the radiator?
I guess technically that would lower the air pressure in front of the grill so drag would be reduced?

Since you’re going carbon things, have you seen dry carbon weave effect hydrodipping?
Perfect for engine covers, bonnet vents etc ;)

Mapping day today!!!!

The result of which is...................................we need more fuel pump or we need to change the wiring to be able to cpoe with the load!!!

So at 5800rpm we run out of fuel, the pump is a DW300c which flows 340lph and is capable of supporting 550bhp. So a little more investigation work is required before coming up with a solution.

So to answer the obviuos questions at 5800rpm we have 9psi, 40degC IAT (after multiple pulls), 360bhp and double the factory torque from 1500rpm.

Will wait for final session before posting any graphs.
