Thats the list of codes that need disabling based on one of the lgt.com vendors doing a how-to
* P0410 * P0411 * P0413 * P0414 * P0415 * P0416 * P0417 * P0418 * P0419 * P2431 * P2432 * P2433 * P2441 * P2444

And there's your code explanation list
http://www.bedug.com/pics/Subaru/obdcodes.txt
Previously some people had issues with some pressure code being removed, may have been an atmo pressure code since some removed absolutly everything without keeping the atmo pressure sensor which caused issues, whole process is way more refined now. All codes are air pump specific, so where's the possible downside to this?

Thanks for this.

I will dig this out of the spare parts I have and refit the sensor only if I can modify it somehow.

Met up with Matt last weekend so he could turn off some codes I had and also to check a few things were safe until I go for the dynotune somewhere. As expected it's boosting its head off as the standard wastegate spring is 18 psi so of course if I hold above the 15-16 psi range I have boost cut. Happily keeping this where it is for now as I'm starting to lean out in the upper rev range. As to be expected until the tune. Car is feelin strong though so I'm really looking forward to finishing it off this month. I've got 1500ks on this engine now and running a semisynthetic oil for a little longer. Quite happily loading the car up now but keeping an eye on the boost gauge and rpm..

One thing I do need though is a lower rate wastegate spring. Standard on the Blouch is 18 psi. I would like to change it to something around 12 so that I can have the SI Drive I mode setting limited to this. And then flick it back to 18 in sports or sports sharp with the maps retuned. Does anyone know if the springs can be purchased to fit my set up? I've seen some on eBay but I'm not sure if they are suitable. Any advice if your out there KiDo_Tuning?

Fitted DBA4000 T3 slotted rotors and genuine Brembo pads for now as I got the pads cheap.
Looks and drives fantastic!
Also I finally fitted up the AVO catch can with a bit of customising it turned out better than expected! I will try and get some pics up soon. The catch can mounted nicely to the lower air pump bracket and looks perfect.

I've looked everywhere for the old Hyperflow style four port but they are very rare and those who have them won't part with them. So I drilled and tapped another port on the back of this one. It's got gauze and has a baffle just before the port leading back to the intake. I'll pull the IC off in 12 months and see if there's any residue and report back on that issue. It should work well. Even the drain plug is now positioned in such a way I won't have to pull the can out.

Installed the DW65c fuel pump today. Fairly simple install with the right tools. Used zip ties to assist in holding the clips while dismantling the pump housing. Booked in for Dyno time next week!

So the Dyno went well with all AFR's sitting almost right on 11.0

Achieved many good runs and kept making adjustments as we still had plenty of room on the injectors as they are now scaled up to 660cc. Absolutely no nock detected and it had more but 300hp was the goal and we made that on a safe tune. I left the dyno sheet behind so Matt will post this down to me. I'll post it up when i get it for bragging rights ;)
Made a respectable 227kw on the mainline dyno and over 900Nm of torque!! Also in I mode I now average a crazy 7.0L/100km on the highway! Not bad for a family wagon with over 300 horsepower at the wheels.

The downside.. We kept getting a bit of waste gate creep or similar coming in. Not sure what was going on there but we sorted that out a bit with the angle of the actuator arm and length. I had a fair amount of preload on it which we backed off and this helped. But it gets worse.. 2 hours later cruising down the highway enjoying the successful mission to Coffs with the wife and bub with me I boosted hard out of 40kph road works into a 110 zone at Kempsey. When I got off the gas we heard a loud woosh sound and both asked each other "what was that?". Then no boost pressure.. Just a sound best described as your standard domestic vacuum cleaner when putting the car under load.
I immediately looked behind for smoke (and cops) but nothing. I pulled over to check if a hose had popped off. All checks turned out fine. All vac lines in place. I rang Matt and we thought it must be one under the top mount. On limited time (sun setting) and the side of the highway on Kempsey (not a great place to be stranded) I did a few other checks and spoke with matt on the phone. The car idle was fine, and it drove as normal off load but could not make boost pressure.. So I nursed it home.
At Buladelah we stopped again to feed and change the little guy and while i had half an hour, off came the TMIC. And all the hoses were ok. Everything looked as normal. No oil, no smoke, no hoses having off or split. And now its raining by the way..

Got in late with a tired and sick bub and we crashed out. I woke at 4.00am and got stuck into the diagnosis pulled the actuator off and manually worked the dump valve linkage, seems ok. Used compressed air at a low setting, actuator working. Pulle dthe TMIC again and checked the throttle inlet hose, all good.

I put it all back together and drove it down the Marshal at Autocraft who drove it 100m to say Yuck! Sounds like the turbo. So its booked in next monday to find the problem. Ill let you know the outcome.

Wow, talk about a bitter sweet feeling. Great dyno outcome BTW. But sucks to hear you may have turbo issues now. Keen to hear the outcome.
Cheers

So here's a pic of where i suspect the Blouch 440xt may have failed between the exhaust housing and cooling block. The car is booked in for Monday and I've been instructed to leave it as is so that they can diagnose it. I'll let you know the outcome. Just really really hope it's something else as I don't want to have to go down the warranty claim road with Blouch. But the turbo has only been on fo 3500ks and only used hard for the first time during the dyno tune only to be the suspected failing part afterwards.
I've wiped my finger on the cooling block to show the exhaust gas carbon build up.

I had a similar issue - tightened up the V-band and it fixed it :) Hopefully that's all it is.

Not sure what specific torque for it would be. I did throw a spanner on it and it felt very lite. But I didn't want to adjust it to tight.. I bloody hope it's just the V band settling in and needing a re tension.

yeah I'd leave it to someone if there was a chance of warranty etc, mine I just noticed after owning it for a while, and it came with the turbo.

Just emptied about 40ml of oil from my catch can. And it's only been on for a few months. Those 6500rpm dyno pulls must really get the oil atomising. So glad it's in there.
I have zero oil residue in the intake so it's doing its job perfectly!
