Heya,

Thought I'd start a build page for my car, 2007 Legacy 3.0R 6MT (in black).
Although in NZ, it's actually the ADM version.

I bought the car around May 2013 with just shy of 100k on the clock.
As of April 2015, at around 145k. Mostly do highway miles.

Went down to a Subaru dealer to get the 100k service done (as I didn't know much about cars), cost an arm and a leg!
After that started servicing the car myself going off the Subaru service sheet.
And after that, start modifying the car! :-)

Most mods are cosmetic stuff, haven't touched the suspension.
I'll get some photos up in the next couple weeks.

Before my car I mostly had motorbikes, so this is the first time I've done mechanical/visual stuff on a car, really fun stuff!
I did play around with a cold air intake, but scrapped that and kept it stock. Main reason because of the planned charger install.

Pictures and sound coming, did a quick video with sound, but had way too much wind noise.

good stuff - to reduce wind noise you can sometimes use faux fur around the mic, and often they work better in these situations if you seal the mic with tape or something (depending on the mic). You will still get most of the sound, but a lot less wind noise. For best results, I have a rode videomic with a deadcat windshield. (and I learnt my lesson - I took a video using a sony action cam and not using the rode mic, and the sound is nowhere near as good.

Thanks for the tip on the fir - will give that a shot.
Was just having a look at where the mic is on the camera, and should be able to jimmy something up.

And some overdue photos for other mods that have been done:

I think with the stock Legacy, the front audio is great (4 speakers in each front door, plus the front center) but I felt the rear was a bit lacking with only 1 speaker in each door. So ended up putting tweeters in the pillars directed to the rear (but you can still hear from the front):

And then put speakers in the parcel shelf (photo only shows one of them):

The stock sub is still there, just not connected (sub is in the boot now).
These run off a Fusion 5 channel amp, probably not the best, but does a decent job for now.

A recent modification is interior LED lighting running along the center console:

Lighting is wired into the interior lighting circuit, so when you dim the interior lights, these will dim as well.

And with the exhaust, here's how far the tip extends:

And my makeshift insert:

And a shot of the rear dis hub I painted with Hammerite black paint:
