The cross comparisons you'll see stage2 basically is 250ftlbs at 2500rp . Now its closer to 300ftlbs near 2400. Comparing a stage 2sti most tuning and customers want to be around 300 @ 3000rpm. So now bring on the flame wars from STI owners and 4thgens on stock setups.
Cam timing took about 25-30soft pulls before JohnJohn got air-fuel dialed in. Then about 15-20 hard pulls turning up boost along the way. About halfway through we blew the connection to the top mount so got another stocker in there for now. The Perrin one will be on order asap. Few other things will be worked out with some e-tuning due to the elevation changes here and octane levels. Then we'll work on mpg's etc. However I did average 27.6 on the 500ish mile trek home.
My initial impression Driving...umm, putting it lightly "holy shit". VERY driveable, powerband comes on smooth and linear. Not really a big HIT, guess that's to be expected though because of our turbo&exhaust housing. Second thing, I need larger injectors duty cycles iirc are around 92% so it was mentioned we could squeeze a hair more out but not much.
So what does all this mean????
1- Our turbo needs a bigger exhaust housing
2-get a fueling system to support higher boost if going with something other than our vf54.
3- A header and (yes and I'll spill the beans) EFR 7064 WILL be happening later winter
4- my paitence was tested but I'm beyond satisfied and expectations were higher than anticipated
