Oh that's good to know you still run the stock amp. Im looking for a replacement too so was considering something like you have that would be a direct replacement but a marked improvement.

Last week my stock radiator decided to pack it in. Was having heaps of trouble hunting down a new one, PSR was out of stock, Subaru had nothing in the country and all the local shops were saying they would have to import one too. Finally managed to track one down through carmodsaustralia, and went with the mishimoto alloy radiator.

It was a super tight fit, and needed some trimming of the top and bottom hoses, but overall I'm extremely happy with the quality and outcome!

That looks good. Nice job. How much difference in price between the oem one and a mishimoto verson?

Subaru quoted me 680 for an OEM one that had to come from japan. Bought the mishimoto one for 400 delivered.

Re: miboosta's GTB Mishimoto goodness

Bit of an update, been fairly busy lately and the poor old Lib has been a bit neglected. But! I recently installed an AVO TMIC, and a set of rpf1's

Next on the list, coilovers. I'm hoping the tax man is extra nice to me this year

Re: miboosta's GTB Mishimoto catch can

Postby Miboosta » Mon Aug 17, 2015 1:00 pm

Installed a Mishimoto baffled catch can on the weekend. The engine bay is kind of cluttered as we all know, so I mounted it under the air intake duct.

I wanted to hide it as much as possible as the local law enforcement is cracking down on the car scene.

I think your big blue silicone intake and the COBB air box will be the thing that's noticed - not a catch can (whether hidden or not)...

The silicone hose came with the car, if I had it my way it would be black. But I can't justify spending the money just to change to colour. I can't exactly hide the box either, so the less they can see the less I can get in trouble for. Hence why I hid the can.

Understatement.
What did you do?

I would rather see a bent rim rather than a brittle fracture with total air loss?

Moments laps of concentration and I ran off the edge of the road and hit like the erosion. Blew out the side of the rim but thankfully it held pressure.

Got a replacement one coming from over seas, should be here within a week :)
