Hi all,

After coming from an N/A Foz, into my GTB, all I can say is wow! What a difference.

The Foz

Bought her stock as a rock, then the mod bug bit, and it bit hard! Anyway I finally got my full license and it was time for an upgrade. I was so undecided I spent the next 6 months chopping and changing my mind. I found a very nice XT luxuary foz. I was so close to putting a deposit on it, until 4th gear had apparently let go. I was devastated. So I started looking into Liberty's, and I fell in love with the face lift GTB.

Installed a new 8" sub today as the stock one was buggered. Went with a " ultra slimline " Hertz subwoofer over the others on the market simply because I needed no spacers to make it clear the boot bars. I also dynamatted the parcel shelf while I was there. Over all easy DIY and pretty happy with the end result :)

How does it sound?

It's surprisingly sounds very nice. Not bullshit loud, but quiet noticible. I run my settings on +3 and that's pleanty enough bass for me :)

So it's quality bass, not 'boom boom doof doof' that's overkill then?

Exactly! :D

I listen to a lot of Hardstyle and EDM, and I find the smaller woofer kicks back quicker, and is able to keep up to tempo. Where as the 2 12's I had in the Forester were overpowering and laggy as such.

I know precisely what you mean. I also listen Progressive House and some Dance and it's a balance of getting good punchy bass without it lagging. Ok if your listening to RnB but for Electronic beats you need the responsiveness to be there.

Are you running the stock amp? Do you know if you can run the stock amp with this sub?

Yea, I'm still running the stock amplifier. The local sound shop ( Audio Indulgence ) said that it's more than capable of running it, although it won't run to full capacity.
