Since FB is a tsunami of dribble, the forums are not completely dead yet...
Did you get all the issues in the op fixed? Eg seat, etc.

If you want to avoid heat-soak on any tmic, a waterspray is a good solution.
The pw tmic splitter has 3x holes for STi type jets, iirc. You can use a manual type spray, eg redirecting the rear washer, an oem STi controller and switches, a boost actuated Hobbs switch, or a smart controller eg Autospeed (or DIY)... Or a combo of all the above.

plus 1 for that BBB....the PW would probably get more heat soak than stock...

Haha I completely agree with you there!

Everything has been rectified except for the seat. I plan on changing them over at some stage anyway for something that holds you in a bit better - possibly 08 Wrx or STi seats as I'm pretty sure they have the same mounting points...?
I've addressed most of the annoying little rattles by removing the door trims and sparingly used some sound deadener around the places I suspect the rattles are coming from. The only other issue I am having is the outside of the windows starting to get small scratches on them from the window pads/guides, so I will have to change them over pretty soon.

Cheers guys!
The water spray idea is a good one! I will do some reading on it and see if it is something I want to do. The other option of course is to run a front mount, however I'm not sure if I can run one with the intake I have and battery as they might get in the way...it might also be overkill for the stock turbo. Still not sure if I am going to upgrade the turbo or just leave it and run E85 :?

Dump pipe got made up and installed a few days ago....car is definitely louder, sounds pretty aggressive on boost
I have to try and reframe myself from before it all gets tuned up again next Sunday.

Blouch 3 Port Boost Solenoid also came in the mail and I ended up ordering an AVO top mount intercooler as I may have damaged the fins on the stock one whilst installing the Turbo Inlet Pipe

I have done some research on the heat soak problem and will probably end up purchasing a PTP Turbo Blanket. They are proven to reduce temps around the turbo by up to 70%. There is a cool video of someone with their hand on the turbo with blanket installed whilst doing a dyno pull and it remains cool to touch!

So next up for the car is to install AVO top mount when it comes hopefully Mon or Tues and then I am taking it to Con at HCW Automotive on Weds to replace a split CV boot as well as check out a little oil leak I have coming from the back of the timing cover near the oil filter :? Hopefully it is nothing major!..... AND then it is all getting tuned up by Matt next Sunday :)

Re the oil leak, check if there's any pooling at the base of the oil filler.
The o ring in there hardens and cracks with age, it's under $5 and 15min to replace, way cheaper than rocker cover gaskets...

There is a little oil that drips from the oil filter so the O ring in the oil cooler needs to be replaced but there seems to be oil coming from the back of the timing belt cover as well... :|

Indeed :)
Any where the oil filler mounts to the block?
That's where most of the lhs oil originated from on my engine...
The rest was just the usual weeping block :P

Nah nothing from the oil filler it all seems to be coming from on top of oil filter and a little the rear timing cover :?
I'm taking the car in to get looked at on Wednesday so I'll keep you posted on the diagnosis.

Ok so just heard back about the oil leak...my mechanic suspects that it is either a bad crank seal or oil pump o ring. We decided to clean up the area and I'm going to bring the car back to find out exactly where it is coming from in a few days, will probably end up changing most of the seals back there for piece of mind as they are not expensive.
